This place is very easy to find, access, and exit. Parking at the front of the place is almost like winning the lottery. There’s lots of parking available along the strip and large public lots out back of the restaurant.

Pretty darn good food. Located right by the harbor, which is great, if you want to go fishing/crabbing or for a walk after the delicious meal. There’s very limited seating and service to order the food was slow, but the food came out quickly. If you’re in the area, I recommend the fish and chips. Plus the portions are huge so that makes up for the price your paying.

We love this place. Went again yesterday got another feast. The crab cakes were delicious. This has got to be the best halibut fish sandwich ever. Clam chowder was thick and creamy. Definitely a don’t want miss this place when in Westport.

I used the ordered food online and this was the best choice as the line wrapped all the way out into the seating area. food portions where huge and quality wasn’t bad. I ordered the beef sandwich and Cesar salad with crab. the sandwich was a little greasy and the salad looked amazing with a good helping of crab. the clam chowder was ok, had some weird crunchy pieces of clam.

If you eat anywhere in this town this is it. Great patio area to watch boats. Halibut was great, fries crispy, battered cod fantastic, & customer service was what you wanted it to be. They had a good selection on their menu, you should find something to make you happy. Wasn’t too crowed, but very popular. People were buying food then walking over to pier to eat at tables, while watching the boats.

We were in town for the Westport Wine Festival and started the day at Bennett’s. I ordered the battered cod fish and chips and loved them. The fries were great! My wife ordered the sourdough bowl with clam chowder and it was huge. She didn’t love the chowder itself, but she said the bread bowl was really good. Our table also ordered the clam strips which looked really good too. They have Stubborn Soda, and a small selection of beers on tap.

Spent the night in Westport and had dinner at #BennettsFishShack I wanted to try several things so decided on the “The Best of the Best” combo meal. It Included a #dungenessCrabMeltSandwich which had lots of yummy crab and lovely mayo and onion #CranberryCoastSalad which had a lovely Asian sesame dressing, lots of feta cheese, cashews and cranberries. Often salads skimp on the yummy toppings but this has plenty of yummy adds. Finished with #clamChowder I love a good chowder and this was excellent. so good. The meal was big but not overwhelming. I didn’t feel to full but glad I could try so many tasty things. Look forward to return to Bennett’s Fish Shack #cranberries #chowder #Crab #Ocean

We had a very nice time at the fish shack. The food was good, fish and chips with fried clams and an adequate Caesar salad, the new help a bit uncertain (however corrected by veteran staff), and the atmosphere was minimalist, but greatly improved by the bay side outdoor seating. We liked it and will go back.
