We arrived just after opening on a Saturday afternoon & it wasnt busy. We were greeted & seated right away. The waitress brought our menus & gave us time to order. We got the slaw & hushpuppies to start & they were outstanding! My husband ordered the fried shrimp, baked beans & fries. I ordered the fried shrimp burger with a side salad. The veggies in the salad were very fresh so that won me over immediately! Both of us agreed the fried shrimp were seasoned & cooked perfectly! The waitress was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back!

On the side of the road in the relative middle of nowhere, you need to eat here. The space is reminiscent of a small Church Fellowship Hall with a modicum of fishing decor displayed on the walls. The service is friendly, the food is good! All you can ask for.

Great food and great service! We eat here almost weekly. My husband and I both have tried almost everything on the menu and have loved all of it! The steak bites, steaks, and hamburger steaks are some of our favorites. The staff is always friendly and service is fast even when the restaurant is crowded. Carley’s desserts are to die for! Definitely stop in and give it a try! HUGE improvement from the last several years with the new ownership!!

I dont normally write reviews but I love this restaurant. Its the only place my family eats when we come down from North Carolina!!! Friday we were having a great time the food was insanely awesome the place was packed!!! I am writing bc a man was there across from us by himself and the whole time he was being so rude to the wait staff and he was running her ragged!! This guy made me so mad I had to ask someone his name!! Im not stating his name but he was alone and everything he got he was making sounds and grunts like he wanted ppl to hear he was unhappy!! He was so rude but walked out with a pile of food!! Some ppl dont deserve dine in privileges!!!

Unless you are a member of their family or you have lived here all your life they will do their best to ignore you. Little place and all the regulars are in there screaming. Food came out like it was straight out of the fridge. First and LAST time. Would give negative rating if possible.

I had a excellent time with the family and friends here today. Catfish (AYCE) was on point and the waitress was on her A game.
This will definitely become a regular restaurant for my family to eat at.

Look forward to eating here again.

My husband and I ate at this restaurant while on our anniversary trip. We typically seek home-owned and operated dining establishments, and this one definitely fits that description. I got catfish filets and shrimp, and my husband got oysters. They came with all the typical trimmings (except hush puppies – the frier was so busy that night, they couldn’t do anymore hush puppies which was a slight disappointment – I mean IYKYK – a catfish dinner just has to have the usual sides! – but the food we did get was so good, we were satisfied with no hush puppies), and everything tasted great and was cooked and seasoned just right.

We had noticed the comment here in reviews: “reminiscent of a small Church Fellowship Hall,” and I couldn’t give a better description. Before we even went there, I told my husband, “Everyone there will know each other except us.” I was 100% correct. Actually, there had been services in the churches on both sides of the restaurant, and many of the attendees came on over for a fish dinner. But that was ok too – I grew up near just the same setting (and was part of the church party more often than not) so I felt right at home.

I will add this – if you are looking for a non-fried food, this isn’t the place for you.

If you are ever in the area, stop by – you won’t regret it!

We had a to go order last night. My husband called the order in on his way home, but they failed to give the order to the kitchen. They told him that he had not placed an order at all until they found it laying on the counter. That was a little rude. He had to wait another 20 minutes for them to prepare the order. The extra wait wouldn’t have been a big deal if the food would have been great, but it wasn’t. The catfish was way too salty, and the hush puppies had no taste at all. The baked potatoes were gummy. There was no tarter sauce or cocktail sauce given, my husband forgot to ask, but they didn’t offer it either. They did give him free bread pudding and it was delicious, but paying $65 for 3 catfish plates that were adequate at best is not worth the $ or time it took.
