A full-service pub serving classic dishes with new twists. Downstairs is our pub where we have 6 tvs and a tv wall to watch your favorite sports. There also are two pool tables and a dart board to pass the time. Upstairs, there will be a bar and dining area with booth seating by Spring 2026.

The moment I stepped inside, I was hooked by the welcoming vibe. I was greeted warmly right away, setting the tone for a great experience. The beer and drink prices were surprisingly fair—more than reasonable for the quality and atmosphere.
I walked in with low expectations for the food, figuring it was just a cozy neighborhood bar. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! I ordered two different meals, and both were absolutely killer—delicious, flavorful, and generously portioned. The portions were huge, and the staff checked in on me multiple times throughout the meal to make sure everything was perfect.
One of the owners even stopped by to say hello, which made the whole visit feel personal and special. Bangor has been needing a spot like this right in the heart of the city—a cool, laid-back place with great drinks, outstanding food, and genuine hospitality. I can’t wait to go back! Seems like a great little bar to have a few beers at. Personally I just grabbed some takeout when I was passing through the area. Food was great, creative and delicious. The bartender that served me was great too, real nice, made sure I got what I paid for, etc. Just based on the level of service I’d go back. Place was pretty quiet when I stopped in.

The best “dive” bar I’ve been to in years, there is plenty of room to move, tvs for sports games, and a separate pool table area (with arcade games!) such a unique set up being an almost hidden bar downstairs. And that isn’t the best part, the food is the best new American in the area, very unique but not intimidating menu items, comfort foods and healthier options that aren’t offered anywhere else. The variety paired with classic bar options, with the kitchen open extra late means no one in your group will leave disappointed. The staff are very real and fun to be there with even if you stop in by yourself (trust me the menu is worth going in to check out, even solo), it is a relaxed and comfortable yet entertaining and fun environment with options for everyone… and now they’re even doing brunch with options you’ve wished to see on brunch menus for years. Visiting Benjamin’s is like visiting real life local Cheers. Some of the regulars are even greeted like good ol’ Norm!

Benjamin’s restaurant and bar hosted our company Christmas party and it was amazing!! The staff went above and beyond to decorate and make sure everything was perfect. The food was great! We had their famous pickle dip I would definitely get again. Overall, if you want a fun holiday party or get together I would highly recommend Benjamin’s to take care of all of your needs with much care. Ate at Benjamin’s Restaurant and Pub in Bangor and walked out very happy and very full. I started with the Zuppa Toscana, and it was exactly what I wanted. Warm, flavorful, and comforting without being heavy. The garlic crostinis were a great add and perfect for dipping until the bowl was empty.
I went with the Crispy Chicken Caesar Wrap, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was super crunchy, the dressing was creamy without being over the top, and everything just worked together. It’s one of those meals that feels familiar but still really well done.
My husband ordered the Sweet Heat Mac Daddy, and I can confidently say he made the right choice. Cheesy, hearty, a little spicy, and finished with that crispy topping. I definitely snuck a few bites and totally get the hype. The garlic points on the side were a nice bonus.
I also stole a bite of the Enter the Eggroll off his plate and immediately regretted not ordering my own. Crispy, packed with flavor, and that spicy yum yum sauce is addictive.
Everything tasted fresh, portions were solid, and nothing felt rushed or sloppy. Benjamin’s is the kind of place you go when you want good food, a relaxed vibe, and zero disappointment. Easily a five-star experience for us.

Ok, this was an unexpected bonus. First off, me and my brother wanted to get a drink and some food (had a late night craving). Alot of places were serving alcohol late at night, but all the restaurants stop serving food by 9 so it was hard to find a place to eat (with the exception of fast food like BK or Mickey D’s).
This place happened to serve food, wasnt far from the hotel. Now, it is a bar so its a little darker but its really chill. I especially love the welcoming and honesty/frankness of the servers. The foods had unique names (btw, Holy Schnit!) and me and my brother were so curious that we tried a few things there and it was really filling for the price, tasty and different.
The music was pretty on point, some nice classic 90s rock jams.
If I lived near this area, I would go with my old school friends and chill there as much as I can, it was way worth it.

Amazing food. Wonderful flavors. I ordered deep fried deviled eggs (hadnt seen anyone do that before) and they were absolutely delicious. That and whatever mushroom burger they have is amazing. I went during December so service was a little bit slow- there was a table with what looked like 10 people or so for a christmas party so I imagine that makes service get a bit wonky. Either way, delicious food and fun atmosphere. Whoever was running the songs made it fun

We happened to crash a birthday party the night we were in. However this did not stop us from enjoying what felt like a small locals hangout. The food was good the service was great. The only dowbside was they didnt know how to make one drink. That will not stop us from going back.

So!!!! We just moved to Maine this year from Philadelphia so it’s been a dramatic change in terms of night life, been to a couple bars in ellsworth and a couple in bangor and this place here!! This IS the place. I saw all age groups drinks are more than fairly priced ownership is amazing and the vibes in this place are damn near perfect finally found my go to spot. Certainly come out and show these people some love I promise you’ll have a good time.
