Not sure how the average review is 3.9 when I tried looking at the number of 1 stars and scrolled and scrolled and scrolled and still saw page after page of 1 stars with no end in sight.
We were traveling and just by chance stopped at this exit. A sports bar sounded good in theory. This was at 12:10 PM on Thursday. We walked into the restaurant side. There was not a single person working and no one eating. Weird for lunch hour time. So we were forced to go into the bar side. There was one guy sitting at the bar drinking and he was the only patron when we arrived. We sat down in a booth. The guy at the bar then starting smoking. His prerogative in Georgia apparently. The waitress came over to take our orders. As we sat waiting for our food the guy from the back area/kitchen would come out and sit in the booth next to us and smoke. Yes, the worker. Nothing like smoking on the job. And nothing like picking the booth directly next to ours when the place is empty. It took about 30 minutes to get our food which again was puzzling since no one else was there eating. We had to ask for napkins and silverware. She never came back to see if we liked the food or needed drink refills. We went to the bathrooms before getting back on the road and sure enough they were disgusting. In conclusion, no one was manning the restaurant. We had to eat in the smoke filled bar. The staff was smoking along with their patron. The food took way too long to come out being we were the only ones eating. The bathrooms were gross. Nothing positive to say about this stop. Sorry but we agree with the laundry list of our 1 star reviews.

I’m completely pleased to have become one of the regulars…The atmosphere is warm, with kerioke, the food ain’t bad, and I feel safe to shoot my pool games anytime of the day or night….Yes this is my spot…..Benchwarmers ……YEAAH!!

We were on our way to Florida and stopped for the night and found this place to grab a bite to eat. We sat on the bar side and the bartender was great, greeted us right away and took the time to talk with us. We ordered the Mushroom Swiss burger, with fries and it was delicious cooked medium rare as we requested. Out of the blue, the owner came out and gave us an order of their wings to try and they also were really good. We would definitely stop there again on our next trip. GO PISTONS

So here is the deal: I am traveling pool player and have never been to this establishment and rarely ATL. The night before “money game night” I seek out a joint to have a “get loose/no pressure/ no money practice” and get the city vibe of where I am currently….I’m at Bench Warmers Sports Grill.
I’m happy….there is a private 3 table, smoking section!! If you don’t like the smoke they got a single table for those that can’t handle my smoke.
I like smoked wings, baked wings and lastly fried wings…in that order. They only have fried….something saidn”get’em”! and I did and am not sorry. No grease, a lite crisp (sauce on the side). Clean!! The reaper sauce is not difficult…it’s offers tolerable addictive heat and check this out, hold on …Real chunks of blue cheese in the the blue cheese dressing!! I promise….remember the 90’s !?! Almost everyone cuts that with mayo, this has chunks!! The servers are attentive (shout out Darla and Jamison) they don’t abandon nor hover….they are professional!!
Now we all got our “thang”, know what I mean?!?….and we don’t all want it all loud and about one “thang” ….its all here if you dig and at a minimum have respect for yourself and others…..flannel and no makeup,sexy bbw, w or b …straight and crooked ….everyone is smiling and getting along…..the jukebox tells the story. Lenard Skynard to Latto…Boss! ( a 90’s term, means good….let’s bring that back)
If you live in Atl or visiting and are looking for good food, and want that solid experience….without feeling like you dropped something and lost it…..come here and be happy!

Chill vibes. Local hang out. There is a Family section and bar section so you can bring the family or hang with the homies. The salmon salad was amazing. The wings are great too. Very large portions for food and drinks.

Walking in feels like a restaurant. If you want to sit and eat, just wait for hostes. The pool tables, just walk towards the back to you right.. and there are 4 clean pool tables that you can shoot your shot on. They also have 2 dart bards for those with good aim and some game machines for the gamers. Overall, it’s a good atmosphere friendly crew and a great place to renew people. Stormy, by the way, had impeccable customer service a must-have server.

Good food and seems to be a good place for games. I would have given them 5 stars, but my appetizer, fried Ruben bites, had a lot of gristle and inedible meat, which made it very difficult to eat. On another note, the benchwarmer mac and cheese is awesome and made up for the appetizer! Great comfort food and I got great service. Never had to ask for a refill. Lots of stuff to do here by yourself or with family and friends. I would recommend coming for lunch to try out!

Ordered this last night and was very disappointed.. for one I ordered Mac and cheese and received spinach. Also the chicken in the jerk chicken wraps was very big and hard to chew. Flavor was good but chicken wasn’t.. ended up feeding it to the dogs..

They know how to cook salmon better than most. And they will cook it the way you want it
The only trouble with the place is they smoke at the bar, which filters into the dining room a little . So if you are sensitive to cigarette smoke use the outside dining away from the bar area it’s perfect.
