My wife goes wild for the chili cheese dog or the Chicago dog piled high with all the fixings, plus a side of crispy fries—she says it’s worth every calorie. Me? I’m a simple guy: just a Polish dog with mustard, and I’m in heaven. (Though fair warning: it can get a bit pricy if you’re treating your actual dog to their pup-friendly plain hot dog—Fido might start expecting caviar next!)
Super dog-friendly spot with outdoor seating and that punny Ben Franklin charm. Highly recommend for a fun, no-fuss meal!

I LOVE BEN FRANKS I have been coming here for 15 years they have the best chilli cheese fries & chilli cheese dogs don’t sleep on this place. RUN don’t walk & go try it for yourself. If this establishment ever closes or goes out of business I will protest. The love I have for this place will never be replaced. I HOPE THEY NEVER CLOSE their pricing is perfect they have an amazing variety 10s across the board.

They don’t change the oil in the fryer, giving all there fried food a nasty aftertaste and ruining the experience. The employees are salty and rude when ordering. Overall a negative experience with bad greasy food, don’t recommend.

First when I pull up she says “what do u want” I said “just a second” she an mumble something….I pull up to pay she don’t say a word just stick her arm out window idc if the food is good I’ll nvr come back. The ingredients are quality & I’m grateful to be serviced by them, wishing well on the business. They also had a great hotdog promotion recently I didn’t capitilize on but adds value to shopping at a place kind to customers.

They do good hot dogs…that’s what they do. Stay away from just about everything else on the menu. My last visit I ordered a “Pastrami Ruben” & it was the saddest sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. I was served on a hot dog bun with more Sauerkraut then meat…with American cheese….Gross…

Pricey! Quality has also gone downhill. I recently purchased the mushroom Swiss burger that was lazily constructed. The mushrooms were dry and loose rather than melted into the cheese. Fries were decent but also pricey. For burgers, stick to BK just across the street at a third of the price.

This place is so unique that you just need to try it at least once. I don’t understand how they stay in business, but they are trying so very hard. The wait staff are just wonderful and patient and kind. I usually get a hot dog and they put just the right amount of mustard and relish on it.

Just stopped there, to get a double burger, fries, & coke.
I saw a guy pushing and pulling trash can in place. He was wearing black gloves.
He nodded at me, and walked in, straight to the window where another person was taking my order. He still had the same gloves on… It was obvious to me, that the time duration it took for him to walk to the window did no allow for glove change. His hands was comfortably swinging by his side with the same gloves on.
By the time I made the person taking my orders aware of the situation, that guy with golves already had the patties 1 in his dirty gloved hand the other on the Grill.
I went there because burgers were really good last time. But unfortunately, this guy just ruined it for me and ruin my memory of it.
