Overall an enjoyable dinner. The food was delicious and our server was nice and accommodating. However if you have a fish allergy make sure to alert them before ordering fries or the chicken burger. They do fry everything in the same oil.
Definitely a great spot to try if youre in the area looking for a sit down restaurant.

Forgot to ask before ordering, asked when our food was served and was unable to eat a burger due to seafood allergy. Couldn’t exhange or refund burger; luckily my friend wasn’t allergic to seafood. The food is delicious and the lighting/design is comfortable.

Heading towards Amherst Shore from Peggy’s Cove and decided to stop here for dinner after much debating on a place. It was busy, which we took as a good sign. It was a little loud but they also had live music going. The food was good. He had the ribs with loaded mashed potatoes and salad. I got the petit sirloin with salad and poutine. The meat was a little dry so I was glad for some gravy, not how I usually eat steak but it worked and was good. Overall our waitress was pleasant and we enjoyed our meals. Would probably come

The Mac and cheese with added pulled pork was soo good! There was plenty of staff at the time but during whole meal none of the staff came up to see if we needed anything. We were waiting to get the bill to pay and still took at least 20 minutes while trying to get attention to staff. It was a little busy at the time but not busy enough for service we got. When staff was speaking with us they were very nice though.

The menu claimed to have the best clubhouse in town…granted, I haven’t had the rest, but I dare say they’re telling the truth! It was delicious! Fries also fantastic. Wings were super meaty and excellent. My wife was very happy with her side salad (in addition to her wings). Service was great. Atmosphere was surprisingly pleasant. Bathrooms were very clean. Definitely will be going again!

I had a burger with all smoked meats that was excellent! We were told right away that they were short staffed that night but we were still very well taken care, and if they hadn’t told us I wouldn’t have known because our food came out so quickly. We will definitely be go again.

Our server, Ray, was so incredibly friendly, funny and made our experience amazing. We highly recommend and if you get Ray please tip her amazing because she is worth it! The food was delicious and the options were endless. You have to eat here! I went with the smoked Mac and cheese and brisket with potato skins, garlic bread, biscuit and salad and was stuffed.
Update: Came back again and we had Ray as our server once more, she was just as amazing as last time! Friendly, funny, and on point. I got to catch up with my aunt over some great fish sandwiches, and everything was delicious. Belly Up never disappoints!

We almost left before we were even seated – the hostess wanted to seat us in a high stool table and due to my disability I requested a booth and she was pissy about it and made us wait when some were available and when she did seat us she said nothing and just threw our menus on the table. Corn Fritters were undercooked and came with a jalapeno/ginger sauce that was more like flavored water (had no consistency for a dip) the ginger shavings had pieces that looked like hair covered in slime (it threw me off). Booths are separated with glass and zero privacy (which is ok for some, but not everyone). I did like the Stainless Steel tables and atmosphere otherwise. The women’s bathroom was eerily dark (like plug in nightlight dark). The sputnik lights over the tables were all missing bulbs and dusty. Definitely a Bar aesthetic vs Restaurant. Sweet Potato fries were Awesome. Brisket burger was more like huge chunks of Pork, not brisket so husband took it out (said it tasted off).

Good find, everything was decent, the potato skins were actually wedges but that’s nothing to mind, the crisp on the sandwich was good, the fries were good, the garlic mash dint have enough garlic though, the spiced beef in the mac n cheese sandwich wasn’t spiced enough, overall good.

We eat here regularly. The Smoke House menu is great, but it seems to vary in consistency – sometimes it’s fantastic, other times the ribs and brisket are over cooked and dry. The hot honey chicken burger is my favourite dish here – it’s massive. Beets and goat cheese on this burger sounds weird it’s actually delicious! This place is always busy so come early or make a reservation, especially on weekends. Service is always A+.
