BEST American BBQ in Folsom (or dare I say in the Sacramento!). We heard so many good things about Belly BBQ and they were all true! We tried almost everything on the menu and they were all very tasty. Don’t forget to get the pickled onion to cut the heaviness of the meat.
Everytime we had guests coming to Folsom, we always went here when the restaurant is open (they only open on the weekends: Friday to Sunday). All our guests agreed that Belly BBQ is a legit delicious BBQ place! One time, the chef (who was very friendly and humble) greeted us and we ‘complained’ on the restaurant’s limited opening hours but also praised him on how good everything was! The next time we visited again, he still remembered us!
– brisket: my favorite! The meat was always tender. The char gave smoky flavor to the meat. The burnt ends were very good – not too burnt but had intense smokiness.
– pork ribs: yum! The meat was tender and the rub spices seeped through the meat.
– sausage: I usually avoid ordering sausage at BBQ place but their sausage was super good! Full of meat, intense flavor, smoky, and perfectly cooked.
– coleslaw: if you like peppery coleslaw and not slathered with mayo, this would be perfect. For me, it was a bit too peppery but I still order it every time I came here.
– cornbread: our favorite sides. It actually tasted like corn and always moist.
– collard green: perfectly cooked & not mushy. The tangy soup cuts the heaviness from the meat.
– cheesy grits: very creamy and cheesy! I don’t really like grit but this one was very good.
– pumpkin pie: creamy pie with full of pumpkin flavor. The crust was crispy and good thickness to hold the pie filling.

Belly Barbecue understood the assignment.
New location, great vibes, and barbecue that makes you stop mid-bite and look at the table like, “Are you tasting this too?”
The style is on point—bold flavors, perfectly cooked meats, and that smoky goodness that lets you know they take BBQ seriously (but not themselves). Everything we tried was packed with flavor, and you can tell this place was created by people who genuinely love what they’re doing.
The atmosphere is fun, laid-back, and exactly where you want to be when the sun’s out and your appetite is ready for action. This is the kind of spot you come to “check out” and immediately start planning your next visit before you even leave.
Belly Barbecue is already a problem—in the best way.

Had such a great experience. The BBQ is easily the best I have had on the West Coast. The brisket and the regular sausage were smoky and moist. The sides were tremendous, Mac and cheese and greens. The service was stellar, the owner checked in and made sure the brisket wasn’t too fatty, sure wasn’t for me. Can’t wait to go back!

GREAT FOOD! Great staff. We miss Texas BBQ ever since we moved here from Dallas Texas. We heard about Belly’s BBQ from two other BBQ postmasters (One in Stockton and another from Apple Hill BBQ food truck guys). I guess they knew who does it right and had respect for Belly’s. So we drove here from Elk Grove to check it out and LOVED everything. The owner was very nice and made sure our kids were taken care off. We will be back!

Some of the best bbq I’ve had! 100% worth the wait. I usually don’t like pork ribs and they were amazing!! The brisket is TENDER, Mac n cheese was flavorful and the BLUEBERRY CORNBREAD, I could eat it everyday. The sweet potato pie was also pretty yummy.

The only thing negative about this place is trying to find a parking spot because everybody loves it. But that’s not really a negative. I had the feed two to three so I could take it home and I can tell you right now that that brisket is one of the best briskets I’ve ever had The pork spare ribs were excellent and so was the turkey. Mac and cheese and baked beans were my sides and both of them made the meal complete for me next time I might try the slaw. I wish I would have got more cornbread I only got one piece and so I had to cut it in half but that’s nobody’s fault but mine. I also got some of the regular barbecue sauce I should have got a little bit of the spicy just to check it out but it was good as well I saw no need to dip it in sauce for me personally It was flavorful and tasty from the beginning to end and I actually had to put it all away so I wouldn’t continuously eat it. It was like a barbecue Thanksgiving at my house haha. Pecan pie was good as well this place I hate to say is highly recommended if you haven’t you should…
One thing of note all of the staff wears gloves which I myself appreciate!!

Best BBQ spot in Folsom. Very authentic flavors with the perfect taste of smoke. We had brisket, Mac and cheese, cornbread and baked beans. Everything was seasoned to perfection! Service was great, everyone greets you with a smile 🙂 For dessert we had banana pudding and it was 10/10.
If you want to enjoy some yummy BBQ this place is it!

Just had lunch there with my sister. Everything was great but my favorite was the brisket, pork ribs and sausage. Owner talks to his customers and was really nice. Staff forgot our beef rib, we told them about it, they apologized and owner gave us a large piece. The place could have been more bigger with more seats and tables, end of the line was already by the cashier. Other than that, the experience was great. Will be back for more.

My first experience at Belly BBQ did NOT disappoint! Brisket was amazing. Moist and flavorful. The Mac-n-Cheese was also very good. The Blueberry Cornbread was out of this world. Can’t wait to come back. The only bad thing was they are only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I will be back next weekend.
