We went on a quiet Monday evening and had a great experience. Bre and Jade made excellent recommendations & were very knowledgeable! We shared the salsas (some of the best restaurant salsa I’ve ever tasted, especially the orange and green), a fish taco, flash-fried broccoli, the carne asada plate, and a chile relleno. If I were nitpicking, I would say the carne asada isn’t a traditional take on the dish (wouldn’t even describe it as a carne asada plate), but it’s a very unique entree with a nice garlic punch, and the cook on it was outstanding. The relleno is a must. Bellota is part of a small, Colorado restaurant group, and I think it is so important to get out to support the places that are doing it right- both in service and in quality! Truly a lovely place.

We had a great experience here. The staff were super friendly and the vibe is laid back but not overly casual. Our tacos and enchiladas were good with generous portions. And the house margaritas were great – not too sweet and plenty strong.

We had the rehydrator alcohol free cocktail, it felt like a real treat that made us not even miss the alcohol. A bright cranberry flavor with lime and enough honey to balance the acidity. The salsas were fun and unusual with a tomatillo one that was actually creamy. The smokey deep red salsa was a favorite. Service is friendly yet professional. Overall feels like a chef run restaurant. The chili relleno was nice and crisp with a thick battered shell. Maybe they also roast the peppers because the stem was charred even though the shell was perfectly brown. Great texture with a nice dark brown sauce. There’s a really cool mural inside made by a graffiti artist from the RINO area where the other Bellota is. Atmosphere is classy but comfortable. We’ll be back.

The mushroom vegan tacos were yummy! They cooked them very well but they were a little messy. I asked for hot sauce and they gave me a sauce they called the black sauce, it was very different than any sauce I’ve ever tried before. This is why I’m rating them 5, I love hot sauces and this one was one of a kind

Thank you Bellotta for an amazing experience… proud to be the first customers of your new Boulder location. The service, drinks and food were all on point. Chef Manny is the man- we loved everything we had. Highly recommend the shrimp taco, margaritas and queso fundido. The sauce trio was also wonderful. We will be back and very happy to have you in the neighborhood. Welcome to Boulder! ❤️

To be fair, I did go at the end of the evening when they were an hour away from closing. The service and restaurant were fine, but the food was highly overpriced and not as authentic as I would have liked. A food truck would have been better. Very lackluster. I wouldn’t return.

We had a lovely time at this neighborhood haunt! It’s definitely getting added to our list of go-to restaurants. The taco flight is delicious, and the chicken enchiladas are the best in town in my opinion.

Pretty underwhelming. The guacamole was good, and the 3 salsas in the trio were decent.
The quesaburria was a complete miss though. Very tough, and overly salted. The portion size was smaller than I was expecting for $18 too. I can’t say we’ll be back.

We had the pleasure of going to a Tequila Tasting & Margarita making class here on Friday. It was so much fun and extremely informative. We loved the intimate setting and Emma was great! EJ made it fun with high energy and jokes and our waitress Haley was very nice. We are looking forward to the next function.
