My husband and I had our wedding reception at Bellini last month, and it was a perfect spot for a winter wedding! We heard many comments from our guests about how great the food was and what a neat setting it was for a wedding. The owners were great to work with; they got back to us very quickly each time we had a question and they were very accommodating, and the service was great the night of the wedding as well. We had 100 guests, and we rented both the main floor and the Dragonfly Lounge, so we had the whole building to ourselves, which was really nice. I would highly recommend Bellini for a wedding or private party!

AMAZING!!! I’ve eaten at Bellini’s many times and have not been disappointed once. My fiancé and I were searching for the perfect venue to have our wedding (we were trying to avoid usual “hotel” wedding). We wanted something unique and beautiful, which is why we picked Bellini’s. The stained glass windows, tables and chairs, and ambience of Bellini’s was incredible.
We were married this past Saturday and everything was more perfect than we could of ever imagined. As we visited with our guests, every comment was about the beautiful venue, amazing food, and exceptional service. The food was hot, perfectly seasoned, and those with food allergies were easily accommodated. The bartenders and servers worked hard to make sure everyone had whatever they needed. Many guests commented about how it was the best service and food they’d had at a wedding.
Liz and Pete were amazing to work with. They went above and beyond to make sure things were exactly the way we wanted them. I changed my mind about things many times and through it all Liz was patient, accommodating, and offered excellent suggestions. She gladly helped set things up and was professional and always responded to my e-mails within hours. We are so thankful for the amazing staff at Bellini’s that made our big day so incredibly perfect! If you are looking for an amazing place to get married, or just having a dinner date, Bellini’s is truly the best Italian in Madison!

Food = good. Atmosphere = good. Service = average/poor.
Our meal (2 people) came to $40 (no appetizers, 1 soda). The food was just about worth the price – definitely a step up from the chain restaurants, but nothing truly mind-blowing or memorable. The location (old church) is certainly fantastic – very nice inside. Our waiter was poor though – didn’t give us the specials (we overheard them from another server…) and generally seemed unenthusiastic in his work.
Overall: nice food, nice location, service can be hit & miss.

My husband and I had a great dinner at Bellini last night. They were pretty busy and we didn’t have a reservation, but the hostess was very nice and got us a table pretty quickly. Although the atmosphere and service were great, my favorite part about Bellini was definitely the food! My pasta was excellent and I really excited to see they used RPs pasta since that is my favorite. My husband had the veal and he said it was some of the best he’s had….I took his word for it since I don’t eat veal. I would reccommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Italian meal in Madison. We will definitely visit again!

the food was amazing. The revenue was beautiful and the waiters are pleasant. I went on New Years and at the time there was a wedding reception going on upstairs so it was a bit hectic and we had to wait a while before being seated and receiving water, but that was to be expected on a busy night. I’d definitely recommend the ravioli: it was amazing and the best ravioli i’ve ever had.

I didn’t enjoy the atmosphere. Dark and dreary looking. Table legs were balanced with drink coasters. Wait staff was good, but saw them on their smartphones by staging section a couple times. The New York strip steak I got was well below average for the price. The balsamic BBQ reduction tasted more like ketchup. Wife’s gnocchi was good, but flavors were bland. Bruschetta and wine was best part of meal. Won’t be back.

Loved this place! It’s absolutely beautiful inside, and all of the food we had was amazing. The ravioli in particular was spectacular, as was the signature deep dish pizza, the “Cruel Emperor,” and that’s coming from a Chicago native! There’s a lot of good Italian food in Madison, but Bellini truly stands out.

We had our Wedding there on June 22, 2013 and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff were amazing and the food was perfect. We got married there, buffet dinner and the reception to follow. Parking lot across the street….convenient. No driving around and looking for parking on Madison Streets. It was beautiful and Angelina….just a elegant and charming host….THANK YOU SO MUCH. We had a fabulous dinner there last night! We started with the bruschetta, probably the best we’ve ever had! Looked like it could be in a food magazine with the blend of yellow and red tomatoes – the taste was superb! Then we had side salads, the insalata italiano was so flavorful – it was a treat. Fresh warm bread, yum. I had the Salmon, moist and flavorful, on a bed of uniquely flavored vegetables- awesome! My husband had the Savatappi Salciccia – Italian sausage, pasta marinara – enough kick to be enjoyable! The service was great!

Amazing food and atmosphere! If you’re looking for authentic Sicilian cuisine Bellini is by far the best restaurant in Madison. For appetizers you can’t go wrong with the calamari or the polpette cinzano (meatballs). Entrees are tough because there are so many good classics–my favs are the lasagna or the Pollo Florentino…or the Tortellini…all are incredible and come with a fresh salad (try the creamy garlic!). If you’re looking for authentic Italian with great service, Bellini is it!
