What a wonderful hike to the top of this great bar/ restaurant. Took us about 45 minutes to walk straight up the paved road. Hot and humid but so worth the view.

Beautiful view, good food, transportation included, live music, but it’s still a tourist trap… €116 for two for a buffet dinner and two beers in the company of green geckos. In Forte dei Marmi, for the same amount, you can eat at a nice à la carte restaurant. I recommend going there for an aperitif…it’s definitely cheaper, but you’ll have to hike quite a bit to get there!!!

Visited Bella Vue Restaurant in La Digue to celebrate my birthday, on the recommendation of our hotel’s front desk and I’m glad we did. Perched at the top of the island, the restaurant offers stunning panoramic views of La Digue and nearby islands, especially breathtaking at sunset. It truly is one of the best spots on the island to take in the scenery.

The staff, mostly female, were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Their hospitality added a warm, personal touch to the evening. The cocktails were also nicely crafted and refreshing, making for a perfect start to our dinner.

However, as a vegetarian, I was a bit let down by the dinner buffet. While the overall ambiance and setting were exceptional, the food options were limited for someone with dietary preferences like mine. I would have appreciated a few more vegetarian-friendly choices to round out the experience.

All in all, it was a memorable evening in a spectacular setting with lovely service—just wish the food had matched the rest of the experience a bit better. Still worth visiting, especially for the view!

Unfortunately, our experience here fell far short of expectations. The evening started poorly with the transportation—17 people crammed into a minivan, which was incredibly uncomfortable and far from convenient. (An adventurous experience, if the price was different)

While the view and the music were enjoyable and provided some ambiance, the rest of the evening was disappointing. The buffet was small and lacked variety, and the food quality was mediocre at best.
Portions were insufficient, and the desserts, served in plastic bowls, felt rushed and unappealing. To make matters worse, we waited nearly an hour for food to be ready, therefore everyone rushed to the buffet at the same time.

Although the staff was polite, they weren’t particularly attentive, which added to the frustration. After dinner, we were ready to leave but had to wait an unreasonably long time for the driver to return, further souring the experience.

Considering we spent 3000 so around 220€ for four people, the value for money was simply not there. For that price, we expected much higher quality and better service. It’s a shame, as the setting had potential, but the execution fell flat. For the same price you can get several courses at some really nice restaurants on La Digue. I cannot recommend this experience at this price point.

Nice morning (08:30-09:00) walk to the top – 20 minutes uphill. Getting pretty sweaty but it Is ok without shirt.
There were turtles at one place during the walk.
The music is nice. The view is awesome. We had some good guava juices and are heading back.

This was really a surprise place for us. Apparently a new owner just took over the place and you have to call them to make reservations and to get picked up by them (yes, they will also drive you back). We‘ve got the tip from M & N from Duisburg (thanks ) and had a great evening there: they serve cocktails to watch the sunset with and then a buffet with fish, chicken, vegetables, rice + dessert. All very delicious and a perfect fit to an enjoyable sunset from the moutain of LaDigue. Try your luck, you won’t be disappointed.

It is a very nice place with an incredible view. The owner is very welcoming. The snack bar is a bit hard to find so you need to search for it (it’s at the top of a house in construction) but when you are the view is stunning. They can arrange transportation as well which makes it convenient

By far the most scenic sunset spot on La Digue! Not so accessible, but the team regularly organize a sunset aperitif + dinner + transfer package at 1200 scr (2023, drinks not included – we made the booking through our hotel). You will be picked up by a van that will spare you an incredibly steep climb to 250+ mts above sea level! The bar is a big suspended wooden porch with a 180° open view towards Praslin. Decor is rustic but comfy and fits very well with the island’s vibes. Juices are amazing, as well as the “buffet-style” creole dinner (where fish leads the stage). Staff are young and nice, service is simple but smooth and effective. You will be eating fairly early (7ish) but in sync with the sunset, which happens at around 6:30 pm. Amazing experience, would not leave the island without having ticked this box!

The place isn’t even open. It’s falsely stated it’s open, but there’s nothing to drink at the end of the road. Very misleading for tourists not carrying adequate water. The walk up is hectic (definitely not MODERATE as stated), but the scenery is awesome and breathtaking
