Once, I bought bread and a cake for a party with my friends, and everyone loved them. The cake was not only tasty but also so pretty that it became the highlight of the table. Another time, I purchased a cake for my grandmother’s birthday, and both my grandparents enjoyed it so much. Seeing them happy made the moment even more special.
This bakery also offers a wide variety of bread, so I can always try something new whenever I visit. Their drinks are amazing as well, and my personal favorite is the yogurt drink. It’s refreshing and perfectly balanced.
Overall, this is my go-to bakery. The quality, taste, and variety are always outstanding. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves great desserts and drinks.
This is the second Belle Journee location I’ve visited (the other is in Ridgefield Park, which is like a Belle Journee Lite – smaller selection, no sit down space). I love this spot a lot better. It’s incredibly bright and airy, with an attractive display of goods on one side and a generous seating space on the other. My husband and I have aimed to try something new on each visit, and nothing’s ever disappointed. The pastries are always light, delicate, and in that coveted not-so-sweet space that Asians prefer when it comes to desserts and breads. My favorite is always the peanut butter creme bread, a nostalgic fave from my childhood but also an objectively delicious offering. It’s got a smattering of peanuts on the top of a split bun, with a generous amount of an airy peanut butter spread.
In the refrigerated sections, they have ready made sandwiches, bottled drinks, and a variety of celebration cakes that I imagine would be at the similar caliber and price point of any Korean bakery.
We usually take our goodies to go, but we opted to sit in on a recent visit and noticed the menu placards with all their hot, savory brunch options. I never knew they had such an option, but definitely something to keep in mind if you’re into the cafe vibes but hungrier for a meal than breads.
This wasn’t your typical carbonara — it came with perfectly cooked shrimp that added such a delicious, savory depth to the dish. The sauce was creamy and rich without feeling heavy, coating every strand of pasta beautifully. The combination of the smoky, salty flavors with the tender shrimp was absolutely spot on. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients and take pride in their cooking.
On top of that, the bakery’s ambiance is incredible. It has a warm, cozy, and welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to sit and relax for hours. Whether you’re stopping in for coffee and pastries or enjoying a full meal like I did, it feels like such a special place.
I’ll definitely be coming back for this shrimp carbonara again — and of course grabbing something sweet before I leave. Highly recommend!
The pastry case is a dream: from classic croissants to more adventurous bites like asparagus–bacon pastries, corn–cheese–mayo buns, and red bean butter croissants. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, even offering free dessert samples—don’t miss the mango one.
We loved the Cinnabon, packed with cinnamon flavor and refreshingly light on frosting. Paired with an iced matcha latte, it made for the perfect evening treat.
Opened in June 2025, Belle Journée already stands out in a competitive area. They’re also offering a free drink when you leave a review—an easy yes for a spot this good.
The US is now seeing a wave of Korean bakeries, supplementing individual bakers who offer similar delights.
Korean bakeries combine the artistry of traditional French pâtisseries with traditional Korean flavors to produce baked goods that Americans are increasingly embracing. A typical American bakery generally displays about 100 different items for sale. Korean bakeries will feature significantly more. They tend to be self-serve, allowing customers to avoid long lines at the checkout counter.
Located on a busy Broad Avenue and translated from the French for “beautiful day,” some of us gathered at Belle Journée for an Elite event—Valentine’s Day Sweet Soirée. Thank you, Sara and the Yelp team, for hosting.
Upon entering this bright, modern, clean, and airy interior, we were greeted by the staff. The display cases were filled with pastries that one may have seen featured on Instagram pages. The visual appeal of the offerings cannot be overstated. Everything here was camera-ready. In the refrigerated sections, they have ready-made sandwiches, bottled drinks, and a variety of celebratory cakes.
With 2 cases full of delicious sweetness, it was difficult to choose from croissants to pastries and dessert cups. I decided on the Raison Swirl, Egg Tart, and Strawberry Thousand Layer Croissant.
Everything was tasty and delicious, using fresh quality ingredients resulting in a flaky, buttery crunch. The staff, especially Gloria and Josh, was amazing and went around tables to interact with us.
Whether one’s a local looking for the next favorite bakery or a food influencer searching for one’s next big post, Belle Journée has something for everyone.
However, my experience was very positive. Pastries were surprisingly tasty and the drinks (tried faro frappe and taro milk tea) were above average. But what makes this cafe head and shoulder above everyone is their interior designs and vibes. The interior was so tastefully done. I enjoyed spectating their walls, ceiling lights and great selection of furniture. I can spend several hours here with my friends just chatting and drinking.
I will definitely visit soon to find out if they have improved their operation. As of now, unlike many other visitors, my experience here was very positive and unique.
