The place is small and quaint. The food was good. Definitely recommend the teriyaki beef bowl. The server forgot to ring in on of our guest plates, however they compensated it with yakitori and their signature dessert of shaved ice(which was delicious). Overall i recommend it atleast once.

I ordered the Bara Chirashi and Tonkotsu Ramen. The order took an unusually long time to come out, and when it finally arrived, several ingredients listed on the menu were missing. I understand that restaurants can run out of items, but it’s frustrating to take an order knowing that half of the listed ingredients aren’t available. The menu stated the chirashi would also include ikura, tamago, and masago, none of which were served until I specifically asked about them. The server also appeared overwhelmed, as he was the only one handling the entire floor. On top of that, the rice used was not sushi rice, and chirashi should consist of sliced fish, not minced pieces.

Absolutely incredible—I don’t even know where to start! I came in Friday for lunch with two colleagues, and we were all blown away. The service, the food, and even the prices are unmatched—almost too good to be true.
I ordered the Black Tonkatsu, which was marvelous. The egg was perfectly soft and yolky, just how I love it. I also tried the gyoza (good, though nothing special), but the spicy mayo onigiri was remarkable. One bite and I felt transported back to a chilly Friday night in a little alleyway in Japan—pure nostalgia. This food is authentic, and it shows.
They even offer shaved ice! Sadly, I didn’t have the space (or time) to try it this visit, but there will definitely be a next time, and I’ll be saving room.
The vibe and aesthetic of the restaurant are small, cozy, and authentically Japanese. Service was just as outstanding—Marco was fantastic and made the experience even better.
Can’t recommend this place enough!

This is a cute little place to grab sushi and have good conversation. The food was amazing! I highly recommend the Sugar Daddy roll! I normally don’t eat fish but really wanted to try this roll. I was not disappointed it just melted in my mouth. We also had the butter ramen, teriyaki bowl, Pandoras box, the heat roll, spicy tuna roll, California roll and the twin dragon roll. Everyone at the table was happy.  The service was very slow. We actually thought they may have forgotten about us but that would not keep us from coming back.

Everything about this place was phenomenal. It was homey, inviting, the prices were amazing and I felt like I was back in Japan when eating the food. Not overpriced like a lot of places in Coral Gables. Ask for Mana when you’re there! She’s an amazing server and will take care of you!

The dining experience was absolutely immaculate. From overall ambiance to the wide selection of dishes, Anaba was the happiest spur-of-the-moment decision we’ve ever made. Marco was our waiter, and he did an exceptional job of giving us recommendations for the meal, right down to helping us select the best drinks to pair with our Omakase and Salomon & Ikura dishes. This is going to be a new favorite spot, and we can’t wait for our next visit!

The food was excellent, everything tasted great and fresh. The service was really fast and friendly and also the owner, the waitress and guys making food were really nice. The restaurant was cute and clean and in a nice area of Coral Gables that has public parking and street parking close by. There is also a good sidewalk to explore the area.

Great variety in omakase options, from lunch at $25 to full service at $75. The ramen is
AWESOME and every fish is fresh. Great uni today.

The sake list is short, but everything you need. The seating is limited, but come Saturday for lunch and you’ll be good.

Our picky eaters were even happy!

My bf and I are both born and raised in Asia. It’s legit here! Picky eaters, satisfied about this Japanese restaurant. The food is delicious and fresh. So glad finally Miami has a good Japanese restaurant!! This time I tried the Lunch special, it’s good and price so reasonable. Love this cute place. Also it’s puppy friendly!

Food is great here! So is service. It’s very straightforward into the point. There is a faint smell of vinegar lingering the entire time I was there, but everything was good nonetheless.
