Reviews
The desert was Sphere chocolate which is like a chocolate mousse which I thought it was going to melt and have ice cream which was a bit disappointing as none was delivered. I had oysters as a starter and that was what I had for my meal. The outside was great but the conservatory was the best for me and my mom it was beautiful everywhere and I would recommend for everyone.
The service is impeccable, the staff nice and discreet. The food and wines are excellent.
Few other guests, not noisy or disturbing whatsoever.
Perfect experience
But the food. Gosh. It’s overpriced and not special at all. My mother would do a better job for a Christmas meal than want they cooked here.
The dessert looked like a bad ice cream cup from an average brasserie. The foie gras is thrown on a plate with a roasted brioche. That’s not cuisine for God’s sake. 50 euros for this is close to a scam.
The wine list is from another age. They sell bottles with a × 4 price factor, way above industry average.
This is a shame and I discourage you to dine there. There are better options in the city.
The service was awful. Waiters were impatient, making no efforts to speak English or simply being pleasant. Do not expect a smile, or any questions regarding your overall experience. We had to serve ourself our wine as nobody was really caring our glasses were empty. Worst, after taking ourself the bottle from the bucket, there were no feeling of shame, no apologies, nothing.
Then come the food…
For appetizers, we order a burata and some caviar.
The quality of the burata was just bad. Lack of taste, unpleasant consistence. We will have a better experience buying a cheap burata at a discount supermarket.
The caviar was way too soft and not tasty.
Our main dish was a sole meunière with steamed veggies. The fish was ok – not salted but ok. The veggies had no savor and were overcooked.
There is such a big gap between the majesty of the location and the quality of the service and dishes. It is very frustrating and comes at a high price. We could feel we were not the only frustrated customers that night. A bad experience we won’t renew.
