I had a wonderful experience at Bella Tandoori Express, just a short walk from Bamberg Hauptbahnhof. The food was absolutely delicious, I ordered the Butter Chicken with Rice, and it was one of the best I’ve had in Germany. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the portion size was perfect.
A big thank you to Amrit Singh Paal, who served me with such kindness and professionalism. He made me feel very welcome and even allowed me to stay in the restaurant a bit longer while I waited for my late train; it was cold outside, so I really appreciated that gesture.
The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, great service, and warm hospitality. It’s the perfect place to enjoy genuine Indian food close to the station. I’ll definitely come back the next time I’m in Bamberg!

The food itself is not bad. But keep in mind that it is catered specifically for Germans taste. So it’s pretty bland tasting as a authentic dish that’s missing a lot of spices. So if one is looking for a taste from back home, they shouldn’t come here. But if one is fine with very mild spices then this place can be perfect for them. One issue I did have is the food is closer to room temperature than being hot, that’s my only problem with the place.
