Had lunch here with my wife. She ordered the Lobster Ravioli ($18) and I the Meatball Parm Sub ($12). The ravioli was very tasty but there were only/ exactly 4 ravioli, so a bit on the small side. The sub was a toasted white bread hoagie with a bit of red sauce, a tiny bit of white cheese that tastes like mozzarella, and three very small meatballs that had been diced and mixed into the sauce. I was very confused at the meatball sandwich and if I go back I will not be ordering the meatball sandwich again. Tiramisu for dessert which my wife said was 8 out of 10. The place was packed when we arrived but there was plenty of parking. The decor was elegant but not pretentious. For the most part the place was very clean. I would have been happy to call this a nice date when I was in my 20s. The music was classy (old Sinatra, Martin etc) and not too loud. There were booths and tables arranged for large or small parties. Everything smelled amazing. The listing says casual but everyone there was dressed nicely (I would have felt under dressed had I not happened to have a nice button down shirt on.) The doorways were wide enough to fit a wheel chair and the bathrooms were clean and one could get a wheelchair into either of them as well. Total cost was $48 for 2 adults after tip for lunch.

As I was driving back from Houston yesterday evening, I started to get a craving for some good Italian food. That’s when I remembered multiple people recommending Bella Italian Cafe Restaurant in Tyler, although I would consider it Flint ‍♂️. I also recall many people talking about one dish in particular. The Lobster Ravioli

I arrived and was greeted instantly by a sweet young lady. She took me over to my table and within minutes, another waitress arrived to get my drink order. She was also very kind.

I decided to look over the menu, although I already knew what I wanted. I’m glad I did because I saw an appetizer that I absolutely had to have. It was the Shrimp Cognac (5 jumbo shrimp sauteed in a cognac cream sauce). This ended up being my favorite dish.

Shortly after placing my order, the waitress brought out some warm bread. I believe it had some garlic butter on top. It was delicious. Before I could finish the bread, my appetizer arrived.

The shrimp themselves were perfectly cooked. The sauce, although a bit on the salty side, was full of flavor!!! I used my remaining bread to clean the plate lol.

By this time, I was damn near full, but I’m not a quitter. The Lobster Ravioli showed up in all its glory. I dove right in. The ravioli was cooked to perfection, as well as the the lobster itself, which I feel like they did not skimp on at all. The white wine sauce was very rich and creamy and the fresh tomatoes and basil really brought it all together.

Just when I thought I couldn’t go on, the Cannoli showed up . I took one bite and called it. It was incredible by the way.

I highly recommend Bella’s if you’re looking for some great Italian cuisine at a reasonable price.

I got a side of the cognac sauce and some bread to-go. It was that good

I stole the picture of the outside of the building from google. There were people walking out as I was walking in. I wasn’t about to be “that guy” and bust out my phone.

Bella’s was a wonderful choice for our little girls family birthday dinner. They quickly accommodated our party change from 13 to 14 with ease and the food and service was phenomenal. The only small issue was that drinks were never offered to be refilled but the waiter was still fantastic. We called and left a message about a reservation earlier on in the week (we came on a Sunday) but never got a call back and I called three more times after that to get some kind of confirmation but there was never an answer or call back. I had to make the reservation via google and that was approved very quickly but Google only allows you to make a reservation for up to 10 people. I was finally able to get someone on the phone on Sunday at the last minute but they were very accommodating which we appreciate. With a larger party and it being for a special occasion you need to be able to plan way ahead which is the only reason this mattered to me. Overall we are so happy we chose Bella’s for our special girls celebration and will be coming back again in the future. The food is SO GOOD!

The atmosphere was nice, the staff is extremely friendly, so our visit was good but not overwhelming excellent.
The food took about normal time to arrive. Our appetizer came after the meals, not sure what happened there. The chicken, which was part of several meals, seemed dry. Not horrible but no stellar either. The Ziti Pomodoro with chicken has a great flavor. The Lasagna looked great but it took forever for it cool off. The table rolls are for the garlic and butter lovers!, so I ate enough to keep the vampires away for the rest of my life! I could make a meal out of them…and a glass of wine!
It was sorta busy when we arrived, so maybe that wasthe issue for us. By the time we left, it was more relaxed. Would I eat here again, yes. Would I recommend, yes. Try them out.

Love finding hidden gems like Bella Italian! My husband is a pizza fanatic and orders it everywhere we go! He said the pizza was as close to eating pizza in Italy he has had in The States. I had the pasta combo which literally had 5 different pastas, with plenty of sauce! Their marinara is PERFECT! Can’t wait to go back and try the cannoli!! #GoogleGal

The aroma as you enter the door gives it away … this place serves delicious food! We had the veal fettuccine Alfredo, shrimp fra diavolo, and chicken caricoffi and they were all superb. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 was for the cannoli we had for dessert … it was not great. It isn’t a good sign when customers order two dishes of the same dessert because the love it and neither plate was finished. It just was not that good; however, don’t let that stop you. The meals were all a wonderful surprise and the service was excellent.

This is one of our more frequented spots for Sunday lunch. It’s not splashy, just consistently good food. Helping sizes are generous.

I truly do not even know where to start on this review. Our server Tara was not only an absolute pleasure but was humorous and informative. Her service was impeccable as she was always attentive and on point with everything. The food was absolutely amazing right down to the presentation and unlike other places in the area the veal was actually veal not so pre made patty. It was perfectly prepared and fork tender. The sauce had a perfect balance between sweet and acidic as well. As for the deserts they are not stingy and tiramisu was absolutely perfect and definitely homemade. I would highly recommend this hidden jewel and will definitely eat there as often as possible.
