Great locally owned place to eat. Outdoor seating is comfortable. Portions are fairly large and prices for entree’s fairly high. The pizza was a good value as it came with a huge Caesar salad. I will definitely bring guests back for the good service and good food.

We often end up at Bella Bistro for celebratory meals. It is, in my opinion, one of the best restaurants in Kailua for dinner. The menu is somewhat limited with a few staples and a rotating list of fresh Italian style dishes. I’m not into seafood, but my family is and they’ve always enjoyed those dishes. I’m a non-meat eater, and their dishes to my liking are somewhat limited and not subject to change, but what they offer is good and I heartily recommend it.
In line with their special occasion designation in my family, this is not a cheap place to grab a bite. Unlike some other more common places to eat in Kailua, the value here is quality and not quantity.
This is a very small restaurant and the majority of the tables are under an awning. This is wonderful on a nice Kailua night, but can be less pleasant when it’s raining or windy. They do have flaps they put down, but it’s not the same wonderful open air feeling.
In fitting with it’s small size, service tends to be friendly, attentive, and personal.
My secret is to avoid the tables towards the back on the road side – they’re isolated feeling and if Hamakua Rd is busy they can be little noisy

So glad we found Bella Bistro! Got an early seating and enjoyed the best date night we’ve had in a long time. EVERYTHING was fresh and executed with pride and perfection. The food and service are something you’d expect in midtown Manhattan. Can’t WAIT to go back.

Tonight was our first time eating at bella bistro me and my wife came out with our friend. The calamari was delicious, and our entrees were very filling and the steak and potatoes were cooked perfectly. Will be referring our friends here and will become regulars for sure.

Bella bistro is awesome. Their nightly specials are always the freshest fish or seafood prepared beautifully. My favorite was their Mongchong special: Parmesan panko crusted with a lobster lemon cream sauce. YUM. Great for date night or family dinners. Great prices, attractive staff, best spot in Kailua

wow! I’m vegetarian and gluten-free and they did an amazing job with the eggplant parmigian. The grilled veggie polenta was outstanding. Just blew me over with a flour less chocolate cake. And wow was it good. The service was great!
