I wish I could give more stars.
My wife and I had an amazing lunch the Bell Buckle Cafe. Who ever seasons the food deserves a Noble Peace Prize. It brought peace to my soul (and stomach). From the Chicken Pot Pie, to the hamburger steak, it was all good and you’ll want more.
And fried okra…there is none better. Not even your mama’s.
And lastly…try the carrot soufflé. Thank me later.

Ordered to go and ate at the picnic table across the road, it was such a nice day! Both times I tried to leave so many people where coming in I couldn’t get out! Ordering was a breeze and nice staff! I’ve been wanting to try this place for years it just never happened. If I was in town they where closed or I’d already eaten. Basically always something. Today was the day tho!! I went a little crazy and ordered 2 extra sides because I wanted to try everything! I got the country fried steak and it was really good as well as the gravy!! Now let’s talk sides! I had higher expectations with the crowds this place brings In! I found the sides lacked seasoning. The turnip greens, white beans, and squash casserole didn’t taste like they had and any! The Mac and cheese was a little to watery and the dressing tasted like stove top which isn’t awful but not what I was hoping for! The Mac and cheese did have pepper, so it had some seasoning! So basically the food was ok just not great like I was hoping.

This is seriously one of the best Southern spots I’ve ever tried. Everything on the menu is delicious, but the blackberry cobbler with ice cream is next-level—it’s the perfect ending to an already amazing meal. The flavors are classic, comforting, and executed perfectly. The restaurant itself has a warm, local vibe, and the staff are super friendly, making the experience feel personal and welcoming. Whether you’re in for lunch or dinner, it’s a spot that makes you feel at home. That cobbler alone is worth a visit, but paired with the rest of the fantastic Southern dishes, it’s an experience you’ll remember. Definitely coming back next time I’m in town.

This our go-to spot to get out of town for a lazy rural day of antique shopping topped with delicious entrees at the Bell Buckle Cafe. We have been coming here for over 2 decades for family lunches/dinners and it never disappoints. Don’t forget to finish things off with an awesome moon pie sundae!

My “Southern parents” first took me here after church one Sunday and this place was “love at first sight” for me. I asked them to take me somewhere that’s unlike any other place and exclusively TN and they definitely fulfilled that request! I love the small “blink once and miss it” town that it is. The shops along the strip are their own unique little adventure when you step in and browse around while you’re waiting for a table at their peak serving time. I certainly didn’t mind because I love supporting small businesses.

Their “meat and threes” are wonderful. I usually get the “choose four veggies/side platter.” I love their carrot souffle and always ask for a generous scoop of it. Their vinegar slaw is really good, along with their broccoli salad. My favorite is their blueberry gelatin salad. Their desserts are sinfully delicious, especially that hot caramel cake of theirs. I’m thankful my southern parents treated their Yankee daughter to Bell Buckle Cafe where Southern hospitality is at its finest!

Every time we go here, the food is amazing!! This is the “local diner experience” that you’re looking for!

I’ve been to this place 2-3 times now, and every time I go, the food is excellent!!

I usually get the country fried steak, and it hasn’t let me down yet. That is saying something, since I’ve been labeled “picky” when it comes to gravy. Here? No problems! It’s always good!

Most recently my wife has gotten the chicken pot pie, but I know she’s also gotten the hamburger steak here. Both times she has really enjoyed them.

The kiddo got the spaghetti and loved it.

Definitely come here! It’s worth the trip out if you don’t live nearby. That’s what we have to do, and it’s worth it!

Had potato salad, it was made there, which I appreciate. Mac and cheese was ok kinda watery. Catfish was ok. Nothing great but it was good. Atmosphere was country and quaint. All the advertisements all over the top of the walls distracted from the overall feel. Service was good. This place has a lot of hype, but I would consider a different place to dine next time.

The bill board off the interstate definitely caught our attention and we decided to take the short adventure into this fun little town. Thoroughly enjoyed the food as well as the neighboring shops

Had some after festival setup and hardly can ever get in there. Since I was done early I thought I would try. Very friendly staff good home cooking and quaint little restaurant. Had the country fried steak and double baked potato casserole. I was stuff afterwards so no dessert this time.

Will have to say this place is all of what I heard it to be. Call in to get a table, as this place will have a wait.

Super friendly folks working there. The pulled pork platter was flavorful. Not too much smokiness but juicy. The pinto beans, green beans and corn casserole were great. My wife had the chicken platter and her food was good too.

Nice location too.
