The atmosphere with the live band was on point ! We were seated right at 6pm..We placed our food order at 6:10pm.. our food arrived to our table around 7:30. We were kinda ok with the wait, only because the band had us entertained. When the food arrived, it was hot and fresh, but lacked the “soul southern” taste that we were expecting. I don’t know if it’s just on Saturday night, but each guest has to spend a min of $25 and an 18% gratuity is automatically added to each check.

We went on Tuesday morning. The service was a little slow but it wasn’t too much of an issue because we wanted to take our time eating and talking. The food was amazing. The cook came to bring the food and check how we liked it. Everything was seasoned perfectly. You didn’t have to add anything. The staff is super friendly. The owners come by and chat with you. I do wish they had honey there for tea or your pancakes vs white sugar (tea and coffee) or regular syrup (which was good). My dad and aunt got coffee and they brought out cups of white sugar and once they asked for sugar substitute or waitress brought it but both of them said they just prefer those options on the table but they will ask in advance next time. I had sweet tea with my meal and it was wonderful. We are definitely coming back. We ordered salmon croquettes to go as well which were amazing. They serve breakfast until 2.

This was my very first time here. The ambience was amazing. The service was not. I didn’t mind the hour wait, because they had an awesome band. My server was nice. The food was not what I asked for, then I had another 30 minutes to wait for 2 sides. By the time they came my fish was ice cold. I finally got my coke after waiting close to 2 hours. My husband wants to come back, he loved the band. I prefer good service, I was very disappointed. Also I almost forgot to mention. We were meeting a group of people there, I didn’t see them when I was seated, when my husband came in, he saw them and we went to join them, a nasty waitress, very rudely told us we couldn’t sit there. She needs more training or another profession, she would do very well as a prison guard. However our waiter allowed us to join them. I’m not sure if I want to try it again.

The food was very delicious. It was my first time going, and I was very satisfied with my food choice, and service. I enjoyed the smothered neck bones over rice, I even enjoyed some of my husband’s Ribs! So good! I will be back!
