Their menu is broad and everything we tried was delicious! We ordered falafel, tabbouleh, and hummus with bread for appetizers, and then had chicken and meat shawarma wraps. The falafel was very very crispy on the outside and delicious, the tabbouleh was fresh, and the hummus was well seasoned with soft, but tough, bread (my favorite!).
The shawarma wraps were excellent, and were served with a generous portion of garlic paste on the side as well. After our meal, they even brought us a small dessert of Halawet El Jibn (Sweet Cheese Rolls) on the house, which was a charming treat I had never tried before!
The atmosphere in the restaurant was a bit empty and bland, but our experience was great and my parents remarked that they would surely return on their own another time.
The restaurant itself was clean, calm, and beautifully decorated with cultural photos and artwork, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The folks behind the counter were nice and courteous. This is like a hidden gem.
Food:
My sister and I got the chicken shawarma, with the garlic sauce. So good, you can taste every rich flavor in it. Cooked to perfection!!!
My brother got the Veggie Gallaba Entree and crushed lentil soup and he said it was very good, I tried the sauce and it was very flavored and tasted amazing.
Staff:
Everyone was so nice and made sure we had everything we needed!! The owner is a really kind person and you can tell he really cares about what he is doing.
Overall I will be going back to this place for the rest of my life. Food was 10/10, and it was such a good time with my brother and sister. I HIGHLY recommend you come and eat here especially if you are looking for a good time and really good food!!!
The service was great. The gentleman that frequently checked in with us was very friendly and got us everything we needed, and our server was very friendly and helpful.
The atmosphere was alright. Everything that I saw was clean and it felt welcoming. It was a little awkward to have crying children on the other side of a barrier but it gave it a family friendly vibe if you’re into that. Another family had their children there as well and they were having fun doing summer salts in a bigger open area and noone seemed to mind.
I had two issues with the food. First, the vegetarian grape leaves are listed on the menu as being 8 pieces and we only got six, and they were so good we wanted 8. Second, the $15 dollar “veggie tray” was pretty sad. We got like half of a tomato sliced up, a large carrot sliced up, and she me sliced cucumber. The waitress said it came with peppers when we asked, but we didn’t get those. $15 felt very overpriced for what we got.
Another complaint is the lack of communication with pricing. The menu says that entrees are served with rice and (soup/salad), yet we got charged $2 for soup and $4 for the salad. We also got charged an extra $2 two times and on the receipt that was labeled “Meat”. The salad was huge and worth the up charge but it would’ve been nice to know it was coming is all. While the soup was good, I wouldn’t have paid extra for it. The menus aren’t clear that there are up charges for certain things so that was an unpleasant surprise when the bill came.
Overall the food was delicious and the staff were great. We would gladly go again but will be paying careful attention when ordering.
