So let me first start by saying I’m disappointed it’s takeout only now!!!! You can’t dine in at the restaurant. I’ve eaten here years back and I always liked it and wanted to dine in again but couldn’t. I forgot my COVID mask but they still served me. Took my order and I waited maybe 10 minutes or so for my takeout food.
I ordered the Lemon chicken combo with fried rice and egg roll. It’s affordable I think it was $14 plus tip.
It tastes so good and homey! Brings back memories of when I used to eat here. Their rice has a unique taste to it it almost reminds me of the Chinese restaurant the old HEB used to have. Lemon chicken is delicious though the sauce could be sweeter but it’s still good. Egg roll was very good and the gave me sweet and sour sauce!
So I’m giving a good rating simply for memories and the good taste, but I wish they’d reopen dining.

I ordered carry out and had great hopes. It’s difficult to find good Chinese food in Victoria. Bejing Garden is on Main Street surrounded by lovely restaurants, shops, and bars. I hoped it was another jewel of the revitalized downtown. I was so disappointed. I ordered staples of Americanized Chinese food, sweet and sour chicken, pot stickers and hot an sour soup. The sweet and sour looks like chic-fil-a nugget: no veggies or pineapple which seems to be a staple normally-, the rice is cold and gloopy, the sweet and sout sauce had a old oil flavor. Like it was stale? It was fluorescent orange and just sweet- no other real flavors. The hot and sour soup was just strange. Again the stale oil back note and just off. The pot stickers were edible. This wonderful meal was $30. Actually it was $28.50 but the tacked on a fee for paying with my debit card though there was no notice of this anywhere, just a note that said I could only use a credit/debit card for orders over $10. Guys, this was just aweful. If a restaurant can’t make the most commonly ordered menu items then I hate to think what had happened of I had ordered something that required a bit of finesse. If I could give zero stats I would have. I will not be returning and hope you choose likewise.

I was walking around down town looking for somewhere to eat cause why not and that’s when I found the Beijing garden. The food there is really good. Especially what I ordered definitely would eat there again when I have the chance!

My husband and I have always heard great things about Beijing Garden so we decided to stop by for lunch. And I’m so happy we did, we absolutely loved it. The food was fresh and delicious and service was great! We will definitely will be returning customers.

The husband and wife owners were elated that we had came in for lunch. Four of our party of the five were frequent patrons pre-covid with me being a first time guest. I was pleased with the Pepper Steak. It was served at the perfect temperature, a generous serving, and taste left me wanting more. I’ll go back soon!

Best Chinese food hands down in Victoria. The quality is superb & they always use the best ingredients. The quantity is just right. The owners always go above and beyond for service! Totally a hidden gem! Been going here for 13 years!! Never been disappointed!

This Mom and Pop offers authentic style Chinese cuisine upon request. Daily specials are delicious all the way top to bottom. I recommend the General Tsos Chicken. The fry is just right on all foods.

Most authentic Chinese food in the area. Although I know that most of the people here prefer low grade buffets to the more authentic because of the ability to gorge themselves, I think if they knew how the food was actually supposed to taste they’d eat here more often. Definitely one of the only places I’ll eat out at in Victoria. Great friendly service, great food, and always a great price for your night out.

Very bad service, owners are very rude, the table beside us they received fantastic service, maybe we weren’t the right color didn’t say one word to us the whole time,when I asked about the ticket she just pointed at it. All other asian restaurants in Victoria are more appreciative and courteous to their customers. Not the first time with this experience here, just thought we would give them another chance.
