Calling the food they serve “Chinese food” is genuinely an affront to the entirety of the Chinese subcontinent & culture. The rice (both white rice and chicken fried rice) was cooked horrendously- they did not use enough water and it appears to taste reheated AND under-cooked. Incredibly dry and hard.
The two chicken dishes we got was also some of the worst I’ve ever had. Poorly cooked, cold, tasted stringy and hard. Also possibly reheated?
The food is also poorly priced. Expensive for a little amount of food, and additionally, the prices available online are almost half of what the actual price is (i.e. the dumplings shown on an online menu for THIS PLACE were $6.50 compared to the $10 they actually cost).
The server/host was kind & helpful, but this restaurant would be better for Cedar Rapids as a different restaurant and the owner/chefs should probably consider a different career choice.

Great place going there for 18 years.
Update 2022: went there again. Got the hunan chicken. Good level of heat. Usually when a place gives a heat/spice marking it’s not very hot. This wasn’t overwhelming but noticeable. Added to the meal.
Went on Saturday 3/26th. At that time got fried rice cup of soup and fried wonton included free!

Good food nice restaurant. Good service and restaurant we nicely decorated with traditional Chinese restaurant decor. Lots of vegetables in the soup. The skewered beef is really good! You get four skewered with an order and so good.

Best Chinese restaurant in town since the 90’s!!!!! Never go anywhere else! The sizzling rice soup is delicious in the dinner for 2! For dessert we always get sugar spun pineapple and no matter how full we get we eat all 12 between the 2 of us! Trust me, you won’t regret it!

The food at Beijing Chinese restaurant is awesome. Their menu has a lot of options and their portion size is very very filling. Tonight we had the fried rice soup, wontons, egg rolls. The dish below is the lemon chicken it is pineapple cherries and fried chicken portions and a lemon sauce. The service there was great and the owners are very talkative. This was my fourth visit and tried something different every each time I was there.

A simple little Chinese restaurant tucked in a convenient spot off of Edgewood road. The food was great We had a large group celebrating this Sunday before Easter. I was very glad they chose to meet at the spot.
