This is a beautiful spot to stop and soak in some great views and have a nice sandwich at a table underneath an umbrella. There is a decent beer selection and 2 gender neutral restrooms, so you don’t have to go all the way back to the museum of art.

A Cultural Oasis in the Heart of the City
Newfields is a delightful escape into the world of art and nature. The sprawling 152-acre campus offers a unique blend of galleries, gardens, and historical sites. While the Indianapolis Museum of Art houses a vast collection of diverse artwork, the real gem lies in the immersive experiences.
The LUME, a multi-sensory exhibit, is a must-see. It transports visitors into iconic works of art, creating a truly unforgettable experience. The gardens are beautifully maintained, offering serene walks and stunning floral displays.
While the campus is impressive, the food options could be more varied. Additionally, some of the galleries could benefit from more interactive elements. Nonetheless, Newfields is a cultural treasure that offers something for everyone. It’s a perfect place to spend a day, or even a few hours, exploring the beauty of art and nature.

After a relaxing walk in the gardens, we headed over here to quench out thirsts and we weren’t disappointed! Their drinks were excellent. The place had ample sitting areas with umbrella to shield you from the sun. Overall, a pleasant experience indeed.

Great food… far more than a beer garden, though they do have a wonderful selection of beers! The root beer float was spectacular, and the Cuban sandwich was a meal in itself, and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was beautiful and serene. Great place to bring in the season (and visit the 1920’s 4 season garden!)

It’s pricey, but you are supporting the venue… staff was awesome and very long line moved quickly! I definitely recommend, my kiddos were happy to eat from the selection. Crowd was friendly and willing to table share – will most certainly return. It was our first Harvest Nights experience !

Attended the Mothers Day Brunch which was delicious! Aside from the “regular” beer garden menu, a few brunch items were featured. I enjoyed the avocado toast w/ smoked salmon and a medium boiled egg on sour dough bread. Other popular items among the group were the German bratwurst, the hummus/pita plate accompanied with sweet peppers, and the giant pretzel/cheese dip! The German beer selections are impressive as well! The Garden Terrace is beautiful, the flowers are blooming!!
