While our original Beer Barrel style pizza has been loved since 1965, we’re now known equally as well for our full menu featuring made-from-scratch family recipes, our signature appetizers, our always-anticipated seasonal specials, and our special brand of hospitality. Van Wert Beer Barrel, flat out, Bees Knees!!! COMPLETELY floored by my experience! Me and my Girlfriend came here for our anniversary! We both have never been here and both of us have had mixed reviews from trusted people that have been. Lets start at our waiter, Brady….HOLY COW!!!! He was an absolute delight!!! That man needs a VERY good raise! He was helpful, informative, kind, funny, very interactive, made us feel like we was the only people there. He definitely made our overall experience magnificent! Now, the atmosphere. WOW! It being a brand new business here, it should very much deliver that, right?! It did just that! Now, on to what you came here for. The Food & Drinks. Everything from the Lemon Drop Martini, Mimosa, to my Girlfriends beer was better than I thought it would be. It was delicious! I had only 2 things I didn’t like or care much for. Their Bloody Mary, was good, just to spicy for me and my belly. I also had some chicken that I just didn’t like. I cant remember the name of that dish, my apologies. Both the chicken and Bloody Mary were taken off the check. Most, if not all other restaurants around here wont even think about doing that! I had the shrimp tacos, holy cow those were amazing, ill be getting those again for sure! As an appetizer I had the sample tower. Now, THAT is a whole meal buy itself in my opinion. Wanna visit Beer Barrel in Van Wert. Do it! Keep it up! We will definitely be going back.

Kari V was the best bartender I’ve ever experienced with her outstanding yet personal attitude, her knowledge and expertise of the menu was outstanding and really made an out of towner feel comfortable and at home. By far the best restaurant in the area with a high-energy atmosphere, perfect way to conclude a long week! It was a Saturday night and instead of waiting 30 minutes for a table, we ate at the bar. The bartenders were crazy busy but tackled things in a tag team way and provided great service! It has the familiar atmosphere of a sports bar – plenty of TVs – but better, and the food was amazing! I had the bourbon BBQ shrimp tacos (3) which were very filling and flavorful. I highly recommend them. Combined with a very spicy ginger beer, I was a mighty happy camper when I left.

Great selection, friendly service, & very clean. Was a very comfortable place to gather with colleagues after a long couple of days. Well lit & inviting as you enter. We were greeted by a lovely young lady. I had the Thai Chicken Pizza, it was hot and delicious TVs everywhere nice bar. We had a very pleasant experience, & easily my new go to when in the area. Like and follow for more great restaurants, adventures, beaches ⛱️, & just cool stuff to do.

Celebrating my wife April’s 44th birthday at beer barrel last night and our server Kari Was super helpful and kind helping with selections and dietary restrictions. Then at end of the meal we were surprised by Kari and the staff singing happy birthday to April. The look on Aprils face was priceless and I am so glad we came to beer barrel to celebrate and Kari made the night with her excellent service. 5 stars all the way.

You can tell they dont want to be open for brunch. Doors were locked and a keg out front. So decided to go to McDonald’s for breakfast. Tried calling to let them know that the doors are locked when they are supposed to be open and no one even answered the phone. Even though they have a parking lot full of employees.

This place gets the business! Even though it was packed, service was still fast! I had the salmon with cauliflower rice spinach, red pickled red onions, avocado, and a fruit mix, I think…..lol…. it was delicious! The holiday sangria was refreshing! The place seems to be pretty new, but they draw a crowd! Upon return, I had the pizza with a load of toppings! The only thing I regret was the low quality sardines! I love sardines, but these have to be the most salty sardines I’ve ever had in my life. I do not recommend them as an addition. You would think for the 40$ pizza, they could at least offer a better quality sardine. Thai wings were delicious!

The place is very much in line with what you would expect from other BB locations. The food is pretty consistent and the pizza is made well and with plenty of toppings (unlike their Fort Wayne location). The location is convenient right off the highway, and the staff is very attentive. I wish we had something like that here in Fort Wayne!
