The dinner was good, we had the Buffalo wings for an appetizer. I thought the wings were perfectly seasoned and you could actually taste the meat. The rest of our meal was good. My only complaint is the ordering process. You have to order at a counter then wait for it to be done with a buzzer. However if you want drinks you need to rely on the wait staff. Food was good and beer good. But this place is hit or miss on both. Been here multiple times as this is the only way I review anything. Sometimes food and service is great and sometimes not so much. Love the weekly burger competition and taco tuesday when both food and service is on point. Tables with the chairs looks like they refinished the tables in water base lacquer when they were originally oil or vice versus so the tables are eternally sticky. They do have free board games on shelves to play with ur family which was cool but the again sticky table was a bit challenging. Being there a few times they also seem to have a “play area” with a couple of arcade type games…..seems like a good way to keep kids occupied but watched kids the first few times get told by a employee they need adults with them…I only noticed because I was in a sticky table close to the entrance and recently I seen kids in there with no one in there with no issues when I was in a booth that didn’t have the same sticky surface and had great beer bottle lamps above. Now if these are kids of the owner or even any of the workers then that’s OK WITH ME…YOU TRY DEALING WITH THE PUBLIC IF YOU DONT LIKE IT ITS THE LEAST THEY CAN GET!!!

Tried the smokey mountain burger it was cooked perfect. Great taste I’m not sure if these are 1/2 LB burgers or less, menu doesn’t state size of burger. Id order this again. Id love to try breakfast here if you’d ever offer it. Very nice staff!

Went there on Valentine’s Day (2023) at about 7:40PM. Just a handful of customers there at the time. We got seated right away. From the Beechwood Grill, we ordered a Western burger with sweet potato fries ($14), Buffalo chicken flatbread ($12) and a tossed salad ($6).
Food alone came to ~$34+tip.

The burger was outstanding. The last time we were there my burger was equally great, which does speak to their consistency. They cook it how you want it.
The sweet potato fries were awesome. HOWEVER, the portion size of the fries was pathetic! (see pic…that was taken before I touched anything!). I asked the girl that gave me the food “Is this how many fries you normally get?”. She simply responded “Yep”. I mean… It was like the burger was fit for a behemoth while the fries would not pass McDonald’s portion standards for a Happy Meal. Oh well.
Let’s just say I was embarrassed for them about this.
The Buffalo flatbread was nice size with plenty of chicken. Could have used a bit more sauce and maybe a blue cheese/ranch drizzle.
The tossed salad was huge. The problem is that it was $6. My wife really just wanted a small side salad to go along with the flatbread. There is no such option on the menu. They really need a $3 side salad in a small bowl for someone that’s doesn’t need the huge one.

The beers were good, but one of them was pricey at $8.00! (can’t remember the name of that one). I got the Skipper’s Stout, which was really good, and more reasonable at $6.75. Total for the was $14.75+tip

Service was very good while we were there. Overall, a nice time other than the ridiculously small portion of sweet potato fries!

Craft beer selection is great. Food was good. Seating was immediate and waiter was there in seconds. I would recommend.

Great place for a burger and beer. Good for larger groups when not too busy. We had 25 ish people in our group. Were able to grab two big tables. Order and pay for food at the window. Order and pay for drinks at the bar. Not waiting for a waitress for food and drink with a large party has been a great option for us. Thank you Erie brewing company!

My wife n I never tried The Beechwood inn,Erie Brewery, on Westlake rd.I’m not sure how the service is when you eat in,but the first two times we ordered take out, they screwed up our orders. No concession.NOTHING.My advise,DO NOT ORDER OUT,THE COOKS/CASHIER DO NOT PAY ATTENTION.One would think a nice place in a nice area would be spot on.NOPE.The generation these days are lazy and just don’t pay attention to nothing but their cell phones.

The prices aren’t too bad (economy considering), but I will say for the sides you get almost no sweet potato fries. Less than a small handful. We were a bit disappointed, but the food is extremely good despite that.

My girlfriend ordered the Philly and it was, in her words, “amazing”. My son got the pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato fries, and cleaned his plate. Nuff said. All I got was the chicken fingers, but they were impressive. The service was awesome. I will absolutely be coming back!

Four of us stopped for lunch based on a friends recommendation.

This restuarant is located INSIDE of Erie Brewing Co. on West Lake Road and from what I gathered is independent from Erie Brewing Co. itself. I have a seperate review for Erie Brewing Co.

This means you have to place two seperate orders, one for drinks from Erie Brewing Co. and then one from Beechwood Inn’s Hardwood Grille if you want food. Is this a big deal, not really. Is it annoying to have to place two different orders, with two different people, in different parts of the establishment, pay two different checks and tip two different employees? Yes, it is very annoying.

Lets start with the appetizers. We ordered the pretzel sticks with bier cheese dip, onion rings, and putine. The pretzel sticks were warm, doughy and delicious just like they should be, the bier cheese dip was okay, just not anything special. The onion rings were good but the real show stopper for the appetizers was the putine. It was very good and highly recommended, especially on a cold Erie day. It will stick to your insides and warm you up instantly.

Three of us ordered the Featured Specials Bacon Grilled Cheese Burger and fries for $16. The fourth ordered Ahi fish tacos and he is now dead to us.

The Battle of the Burgers “3 week winner” grilled cheese bacon burger was not only small in stature but in taste as well. The burgers description is as follows from the menu.

An angus burger topped with cheddar, smoked goudaaaaaaa, and american cheese with bacon. Between two slices of texas toast and a sun-dried tomato aioli.

The burger lacked in overall flavor. It was very cheesey, but you could not taste the cheeses. The tomato aioli seemed like it wasn’t even present. The texas toat was so-so and a bit too soggy for my liking. Overall, I do not feel like it was worth the $16 it cost me. It felt more like a $12-$14 meal. It was a disappointing choice overall.

The sweet potato fries were good and the maple syrup was a nice touch, but I did notice that I did not get as many of them as the others who ordered the regular steak fries with their burgers.

I did get to try one of my buddies Ahi fish tacos and it was okay. It comes with avocado ranch, black bean corn salsa and coleslaw in a soft shell tortilla. It was good but not anything special.

The food was just okay and we all felt the main dishes were a bit over priced. We did agree that the appetizers were spot on with cost, flavor and the amount received.

The service was good for what it was and the kitchen was good about getting our orders out in a timely and warm manner. BUT there is one caveat to ordering here.

Other than taking your order at the counter and plating the food, the rest of the process is self serve.

Here is the process:
You place your order at the counter and pay for your meal at the same time, including tip if you are using your card to pay. After paying you get a pager and then wait. When it vibartes your food is ready and you can go retrieve it from the counter. Then you go and get your condiments, silverware, etc from one of two stations on either side of the seating area. You then take it back to your table, eat, and then clean it all up and take your trash and tray to the proper area and dispose of/stack it. There is no issue with doing this yourself, but we all agreed that we wish we had known this ahead of time because lets face it, part of tipping is the service your receive during the meal. And since we had never been there, we all tipped based upon what we thought the service would be. The whole process was very fast food like.

Just something to keep in mind when you visit.

If you like to drink beer while you eat and like bar foods, this place is for you. If you don’t drink beer and are looking for a sit down meal with actual service included I would recommend going somewhere else.

I will not be back. For these prices I would prefer a sit down meal with actual service.
