We normally love the rural mom and pop restaurants, and this one certainly meets that description, however the food we tried and very slow service are what lowered the stars on this cute place.
The decor is a rustic rural style, and includes many old black and white pictures of local people, places, and things. It was fish Friday, and we both love good catfish, with the key word being “good”, but we were disappointed to receive long thin finger like pieces, which could have used both more seasoning and a bit more time in the fryer. The cole slaw was excellent, but the hush puppies were burnt in both of our baskets. Although we didn’t try the desserts, they were all homemade, and looked very good under the classic diner glass covers.
The service was very friendly, but after our meals arrived, we seldom could catch them, and then it took a reminder and a very long wait to receive our check.
We’ll give it another try if we are in the area again, and hopefully I can raise the stars then.

Took an hour to get our food. The fries were under cooked and I got 1 hush puppy. The catfish was good. I will give them that. The cherry on top was when I went to the restroom after my server and there was no toilet paper so i had to go into the sink and get a new roll. Oh and the flies….swatting flies away from our food the entire time. Very bad experience.

Went here for dinner on a Tuesday night it was not very busy. We ordered and had the food in 10 minutes. Amanda was the waitress and she was so kind. My son wasn’t feel well and she took care of us quickly and cared deeply for him. She carried him around for a bit and talked to him, she is a great Nonna. I had the ham and cheese and my husband had a chicken sandwich, our food was hot and tasty. We are happy we stopped!

They hand breaded the fried pickles. The pickles were fabulous. You get a lot of food for the price as well. They have lots of options. We had dinner but the breakfast menu looked great too.
Burger and fries for 6.99 is a solid deal.

Very slow service. Server was polite but her other staff were loud and obnoxious, dragging chairs and tables everywhere. For the price, the food was okay. The onion rings were great but my “toast” burger was more of a “bread” burger and only had a little dollop of mayo. I don’t think I’ll be returning.

This place is your classic mom and pop and I’m going to tell you……it’s great. We ate here three times over a long weekend. It was all good. The pancakes are delicious. If you are anywhere near here, stop in……you won’t regret it.

The girls there today did an awesome job. Very friendly, great atmosphere, and not crowded. Tried something new today, it wasn’t perfect but was able to talk to the cook and owner to give them a little feedback. Overall I had a great experience.
