This was my first time in NYC, and I wasn’t to familiar with the restaurants there but I stumbled upon this GEM here. The food was DELICIOUS!! I had tried the Seafood Platter which was amazing and seasoned to perfection. I also tried the Ox Tail Cheesesteak… Amazing as well. This will most definitely be one of my regular food stop, when I travel to New York!!

I placed an Uber Eats order with Bed Stuy Fish Fry on Fulton Street today and the experience was very disappointing. I ordered two buy one get one free salmon meals with different sides, two fried chicken meals with separate sides, an order of catfish fritters, and potato salad. After noticing issues, I called the restaurant and the representative put me on hold, then came back saying it was “a lot of food” and told me I would need to report it to Uber Eats to get my money back.
When the Uber Eats driver arrived, I only received two buy one get one free meals and they were incorrect. They were baked chicken with yams and mac and cheese, which I did not order. None of the other items were included. While I understand I ordered through Uber Eats, the restaurant still failed to prepare and fulfill the order correctly.
What made it worse was the customer service. The representative did not sound remorseful or apologetic about the mistake and brushed it off instead of taking responsibility. Overall, this was a frustrating experience and I expected better communication and accountability.

The food is okay depending on the day you go. The customer service is horrendous. Every single employee has the most disgusting attitude as if they hate their job. Been coming here for years and the customer service has been on a fast and steady decline. You come in and they don’t even greet you and treat you as if you’re a bother. My days at this place are numbered.

I’m big on customer service. Didn’t even stay to order. Training on customer service is needed. I walked inside and I was the only customer . There were two ladies employees there. and they didn’t say hello, No eye contact. They didn’t ask how can I help you? But said, what do you want? When I replied I wanted fish, she replied what kind of fish and pointed at the menu with an attitude. Instead of kindly suggesting my choices and being helpful but condescending. . I left , because there is no way I can eat or spend my money with a place where they are rude

I’m a frequent customer. The food is very good, but lately it’s a it or miss. I usually order off uber eats. The last I ordered Turkey wings , they were burnt. So I called the restaurant and she ( refused) to give me her name. “ The customers like it that way” she says I have 2 options bring them back No!!!!, or call uber back to get a refund. I wish I could give this place ZERO stars! I walk in and NO ONE ask me anything. Another customer walks in 2-3 minutes after me and the girl takes her order, she makes the woman’s order. The girl STILL NEVER ASK ME ANYTHING! I will never eat here! Times are hard and money is tight. People work too damn hard for their money for poor customer service! Clearly, they don’t want repeat customers! I walked out!

Today.. I ordered the turkey wings which was supposed to come with rice & peas and cabbage as my sides.. I also ordered the coconut & pineapple slice of cake. I don’t know if they changed the cook or someone was having a bad day but my food came with no cabbage at all they sprinkled maybe a spoon of rice on the plate and put two burnt & dried up turkey wings on there. They sent carrot cake instead of what I ordered (coconut pineapple) and my Mac and cheese was COLD. I ordered from here once before so I’m kind of shocked at how low the quality was this time around. Wasted $50. It can be good food but it’s hit or miss. Try ya hand at your own risk.

I ordered through Ubereats because my kitchen sink flooded on me while making a Pork Roast so I ordered a bunch of sides. This review is for their sides.
I honestly wish I would’ve gotten a large because all of it was so good. The Mac n cheese was so cheesy and delicious and full of flavor 5/5 ⭐️ . It was NOT over salted at all. The Collard greens were so good as well 4/5⭐️. It’s a tiny bit gritty but flavor in every bite. The potato salad was so good as well 5/5⭐️ The yams were hitting the spot with the Mac n cheese so 5/5 ⭐️ as well. I took pics of the container after I already ate and plated my sides. I also got cake but that was not the best 2/5⭐️ It was very dense and hard.
I’d definitely recommend eating here. Now I don’t have to travel far for some delicious soul food. Next I’ll try their meats. My Ubereats order was 100% correct and on time and still hot.

I love the food but twice I did not get my full order and to get in contact with the restaurant is a waste because they will direct you back to uber or whoever brought your order. I just ordered 2 plates of – 2 pieces jerk chicken,($1.00 more for jerk chicken), peas & rice and macaroni salad . One of my orders had one piece ????? The rice was scattered all over it??? Means deliverer was not careful with delivery. Either way, the problem I hope came from the kitchen and took advantage and just didn’t put my second piece of chicken (maybe it was last piece before the other bash was made? ) it’s just crazy how people do this and think no one will notice??? And worst I thought what if the deliverer took it out of my plate since their plates are not stapled which I highly recommend! I hope someone in 940 Fulton Street sees this review and let others know. They will loose a lot of customers!!!
