I visited during off-peak hours and had potatoe skins which were good, but not great. Service was perfect. This place looks like a cool place for happy hour or to watch your favorite sports team. I will definately be back for Happy Hour!

This is the first time we have been here. The food was great, I had a Reuben sandwich with fries, which was top-notch. The carrot cake was mind-blowing. The waiter was very friendly, and the food came out of the kitchen quickly. A credit card fee is added to your check if you pay by card. Great place, keep up the great work.

Becks Place is great if you’re looking for a laid-back bar with friendly staff, good food, and cheap drinks. Don’t worry about getting dressed up, just bring your appetite for some of the best comfort food in OP around $15. The pork tenderloin sandwich and chicken fried chicken dinner were fantastic and the well drinks were only $4 each. The mashed potatoes were so good! Seriously, what more could you ask for? We’re already making plans on what to order next time and are definitely going to try the carrot cake.

We took the family out and tried Beck’s Place tonight! Food was very tasty and came out hot. Service was wonderful and the atmosphere was laid back and fun! I had the Maple Bourbon Chicken Sandwich with sweet potato fries and my husband had the Chicken Fried Chicken. Both were delicious, home-made and worth the cost. My kids all enjoyed what they ordered. We will definitely go back!!

My husband and I and our youngest daughter came to Becks’ place for lunch today after our daughter had a dental appointment in KC. We saw pictures on Google maps, and the pictures of the chicken fried steak was what made us want to go here.
The setting is similar to a bar or kinda a smaller version of Buffalo wild wings.
Our waitress was extremely sweet and accommodating! I loved how sweet she was with our daughter.
I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans with a biscuit. My husband ordered the friend pork tenderloin sandwich with a side of tatar tots. We ordered grilled cheese for our daughter.
My chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy (I also got extra gravy which they thank goodness gave me on top of my steak and potatoes!) I’m so glad they didn’t give me a separate dish for my extra gravy.my chicken fried steak was amazing probably the best I’ve ever had. The buscuit/bread was so fresh and amazing.
My husband’s pork tenderloin sandwich was the best we’ve ever eaten. It’s it was so fresh and flavorful. Seriously, the best.
Our daughter loved the grilled cheese she even ate the crust. She had never eaten the crust before today, but she finished her crust today at Becks’ place.
They know how to cook and treat their customers right. I highly recommend eating here. You won’t be disappointed! Don’t fall for nay negative reviews they really do have delicious food here.

Chicken Strips were mind blowing. We hadn’t really thought that hard about where we were going or what we were going to order…just kind of wound up here on a sunny afternoon. Ordered the chicken strips with no expectations and omg they were absolutely incredible. We liked them so much we ordered a second round. Got the strips and the sweet potato waffle fries. Great food, good drink selection, and super friendly people. Will return for more!

Service was friendly but missed part of our order, we ordered an app which was not brought out, so marked down which otherwise would have been a 4. I was really disappointed because I love onion straws. Food was not bad, my brother had the burger with fried egg, the burger was cooked too order but the over easy egg was more like a hard boiled egg yolk, no ooooze at all. The fries were the best part of his plate. I had the chicken fried steak and other than the coating not sticking it was yummy. The mashed potatoes were creamy and the gravy very seasoned. I had a side salad and the ranch was so good, but could have used croutons for some extra crunch.
I marked down atmosphere because it was very unprofessional and uncomfortable for us, while trying to enjoy our lunch, too listen to our server and the girl behind the bar very loudly gossiping about fellow co-workers. I feel like I know more about your staff then I really should, from who doesn’t show up, who has certain attitudes and who is going home with whom.

We love the food (especially the pretzel), the owners, the staff, the drinks, the regulars, and the atmosphere! Our favorite night to visit Beck’s is Tuesday for the Mexican Platter, Marga, and Karaoke.

Popped in to try Beck’s Place for a late weekday lunch, first time here since it was McGuire’s. Menu features a nice variety of Midwestern bar and grill fare. Beck’s Cobb Salad was generous in size and ingredients, and the tater tots were perfectly crisp. Enough food that I actually got a box for leftovers — for a salad! I’d happily come back to try more of the menu, and shout out to Mary Beth for great service.
This neighborhood bar has the same dive vibe as McGuire’s did. Unfortunately on this trip the space felt a little worn and stale, especially with HVAC probably on the fritz as fans created a welcomed draft in the dining area’s warm, stuffy air. At 1pm it was a ghost town with just a couple folks at the bar and another table, but everyone was friendly, and it was calm enough to easily carry a conversation at our table. I hear it picks up in the evening. It doesn’t pretend to be anything fancy, and it’s not, but it hits a lot of the right high notes for me.
