Stopped in on a Friday for lunch with my wife around noon,place was empty. Bartender Seemed annoyed that we were there didn’t even attempt to make small talk or be nice.. Inhad to ask if theybhad food.

Great space in the heart of Commercial Point, at this point, I’d definitely consider this a “hidden gem.” The atmosphere is great, the service is awesome, drinks are well-priced, and finding parking – which can be a challenge with some of these small-town businesses, was easy.
I’ve heard great things about the food, and the pizza looks delicious, but I haven’t tried it for myself yet, which is why I’m not rating that category.
All in all, if downhome small town bars that are friendly to newcomers are your thing, you should give Beck’s Garage a visit. Despite not being huge or not looking like some downtown rooftop lounge, I wouldn’t call Beck’s a dive bar at all, at least not in the negative sense of the word, but if there’s any good connotation to being a “dive,” it would seem to apply to this place.

The bad thing about this place is there’s no way to put your equipment over to the stage without going over the grass area which is really hard and difficult to push speakers that are on rollers and to carry the equipment from the front of the building to the stage is ridiculous. Make an opening at the back for the sound system peopke that come there to set up for the band.. That would be my suggestion.
