Beckie’s Café in Prospect is more than just a restaurant — it’s an experience wrapped in warmth, tradition, and incredible food. Nestled along Highway 62 near the beautiful Union Creek area, this historic café carries a charm that instantly makes you feel comfortable and welcome.

The atmosphere is cozy and rustic, with that timeless, small-town feel that perfectly matches the surrounding mountain scenery. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy a slow meal, and truly savor the moment.

The food is outstanding from start to finish. Breakfast is hearty and satisfying — perfectly cooked eggs, fluffy pancakes, golden hash browns, and generous portions that fuel you for the day. Lunch and dinner options deliver classic comfort dishes done exceptionally well, from juicy burgers to homestyle favorites that taste like they came straight from a cherished family recipe. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and prepared with obvious care.

And of course, the pies deserve special recognition. The flaky, buttery crust paired with rich, perfectly balanced fillings makes each slice unforgettable. Whether you choose a fruit pie or a classic favorite, it’s the kind of dessert that keeps you thinking about it long after you’ve left.

What truly elevates the experience is the friendly, attentive staff. The service feels genuine and welcoming, adding to the café’s reputation as a beloved stop for both locals and travelers alike.

If you’re anywhere near Prospect, Beckie’s Café is absolutely worth visiting. Exceptional food, inviting atmosphere, and a long-standing tradition of quality easily earn this place five stars.

Our meal was wonderful and delicious but by far the star of the show was the soup of the day (in this case was chicken noodle soup), and a piece of blackberry pie!
The inside is quite small, but there’s plenty of parking and if you’re patient and relax and take in the atmosphere, you’ll get served a wonderful meal.

Quaint, small town diner style food and atmosphere. Had two different burgers and both were delicious! The ham & bean soup was also fantastic. Chicken fried steak was not good and not like typical southern chicken fried steak. Would not recommend. Also, the “brown” gravy it came with was gray and super thick and chunky, and tasted weird. For dessert I had the peach pie with ice cream and it was absolutely amazing! Very friendly staff.

Stopped in after a day trip to Crater Lake. I’ve had many a pie from Beckies but never stopped & ate a meal. I went with thr pub burger & it was spectacular. The cheese sauce was superb, the bun was perfect & the patty was juicy. Top notch burger. Finished it all off with a slice of blackberry pie

A very cute little place to stop at if you are ever down this far. Came here after exploring Crater Lake to get some dinner. The food was fine, but it wasn’t anything special especially for the price. The pie was the best part and the only part I would recommend. I wouldn’t come back for the food, but if i happened to be in the area I would definitely get some pie.

It’s a small location, but the service is really odd. Some people get good service (like we watched someone check on the table next to ours about 5 times, without bringing us water or asking us anything). The guy who sat us did not want to be there. My husband was about to give up when we finally got waited on (I would say 20 min ?) and the tables next to us were empty.

Loved the history of the place. I didn’t remember that the chicken pot pie was popular but it was good. The pretzel appetizer was good. Pie selection is fun.

We got a slice of blueberry and a slice if pecan. It was probably one of the best pecan pies I have ever had. It was sweet but not gooy, it actually had a slight crisp to it. The blueberry was also very good. The filling did not taste canned or fake, the berries felt like they had not been frozen or dried, and the crust was just the right amount of sweet. However they didn’t seem to know how to plan their pre making as they were out of most of their pies and it was only about 1 in the afternoon, we were lucky to be able to try a few slices. Also they seemed understaffed and overworked as it took a good 5 minutes to get anyone to help us even in their little shop. Also the pieces are completely outrageous, it was $19 for two slices, normally we can get a whole pie for less.

Formally known as beckelhymer’s, this is the place to eat if you’re out that direction. Not just because it’s good food but it’s kind of your only option. They’re famous for their pies but also charge $40 a pie… Gets pretty busy during meal times so be prepared for a 20 to 30 minute wait if you come at rush hour.
