I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, but…”When in Rome”, right? We got some chocolate truffles, Swedish fish, and some sour green apple gummies. The chocolates and marshmallows are made in-house. I had the Raspberry chocolate truffle. It was good! They’re pretty big, in my opinion, so I couldn’t finish it. I don’t know…maybe don’t trust someone with an aversion to sugar? I can confirm though, that my other half inhaled the rest. Trust him! He has high expectations for sweets!

Beaverdale Confections is a true gem! I picked up some chocolate-covered pecans at the fall fest and they were absolutely to die for—rich, fresh, and perfectly made. The shop is cozy, and the staff are super friendly. Can’t wait to go back!

I was disappointed this year because you ran out of chocolate gummy bears. I even asked ahead of time if I needed to order ahead to make sure I could get them. I was told that I didn’t need to. I got lucky last year and got the last of them which is why I wanted to plan for this year. Maybe you can address this for next year.

I have shopped here for years, buying truffles for my wife and daughter for every major holiday and any other reason I could justify it. I hate to leave this review as I am sure the ownership made changes based on the circumstances surrounding the economy and the cost to operate the business. That said, the new “product line” is nothing compared to the old. I regret to say it but the store lost my business when they made the change. I wish they would’ve considered raising the prices of their already fabulous products instead of making such drastic changes to their product line. They aren’t even remotely close to the same as they were. RIP the best truffles in DSM

I can’t say enough about how great the service and quality at Beaverdale Confections is! I ordered the Beaver Crunch for a friend for Christmas (so so good!) I forgot to pick up my order before the store was closing for the holidays. The owner sent me a personal text message offering to meet me at the store on Christmas Eve morning so I could get my order in time for the holidays – even though they were not open that day. They truly went above and beyond and it meant so much to me. They also put some extra handmade old fashioned toffee with my order. Just wow! I encourage everyone to shop here. The sweets are amazing and the service is top of the line.

Best store ever! A kids paradise! They have all candy new and old, along with homemade truffles, marshmallows, and chocolates! If I could go there every day I would! And they are at the Iowa State Fair under the grandstand! The best part is the staff, they are all nice, easy to work with, and so friendly! They have every candy you could think of plus more! If you have any occasion, holiday, or just want some candy go to Beaverdale confections!

Tom and the team at Beaverdale Confections have been the easiest, best to work with experience I have ever had. They were very helpful, multiple times, in coming up with unique treat ideas at the last minute. I would recommend them to anyone for any treat needs! Oh, and the chocolate and homemade marshmallows?! TO DIE FOR!!! Best I’ve ever had! Beaverdale is truly lucky to have such a great local business. 🙂
