Beaumont’s in La Jolla was such a
vibe. I ordered the Carnitas Benedict, chilaquiles, and Beef Barbacoa empanadas and everything tasted incredibly fresh and packed with flavor – definitely recommend if you’re a savory brunch lover. The location is super nice with parking nearby and a cute alley just a short walk away, perfect for a little post-meal stroll.
It wasn’t busy when I went, and while the service was a bit slow, the food absolutely made up for it. They were also setting up for a wine and paint event, which looked like it would be such a fun experience. Overall, a great spot to check out in La Jolla! ✨

Stuffy – not sure there is AC. Certainly there are no ceiling fans.
Bathrooms- 3 separate with 5-7 people constantly waiting for use. Filthy as can be
Lighting – Barely anything. Dark as could be. See pics
Entertainment – sloppy and almost 30 minutes late. See video
Food – could be from frozen. 7-11 quality.
Service – Understaffed and overwhelmed.
Verdict – Good for 21s

Great dinner at Beaumont’s in La Jolla! Great vibe, beautiful indoors and festive dog friendly outdoor patio. We started with the Thai meatballs and had the bistro tenderloin and fisherman’s pasta for entrees. We also had a bottle of the house white wine which was Chardonnay. Friendly, accommodating and quick service. Recommend!

Cozy spot, great for catching up over solid food and drink, also with regular live music. The fish tacos were absolutely killer – cod was about as perfect as it gets.

Well, I went to three places today. Beaumonts, West End, Wheat and Water. I’ll be reviewing all three of these, but of course, under separate restaurants. So, with Beaumont’s…It took 10 minutes, aside from seating by the hostess, who was very friendly I might add for anyone to acknowledge my existence. Then and by the way, all I wanted to do was order an IPA, I was informed after waiting 10 minutes. Apparently the menu was not updated. There was no IPA available. So I got up and left. Sadly. This, was my experience. There is a, no I don’t want to limit it to Bird Rick, but feeling that some of the places in and around La Jolla have a “You are so lucky we are here.” Attitude. I might add, I’ve live in this area for most 14 years. And have optimistically hoped this would change. But alas, with Beaumont’s and Wheat and Water, it has not. I cannot rate the food as I didn’t eat.

Stopped by with the family for dinner.
The fish tacos and dry martini were very good. That being said, the salmon was over salted to the point of being inedible, the burger, ordered medium rare, was well done, and their ‘specialty’ old Fashioned was so bitter it wasn’t drinkable (even after the second attempt).
The wait staff and the gal at the door were very kind and patient, but the food just wasn’t worth it. 3 stars because we talked about how bad things were for hours afterwards.
Without a doubt they can do better, we just won’t be the folks that explore what that looks like.
The wait staff was kind, but the food and drink errors were inexcusable.

Great dinner in the heart of Bird Rock. Our waiter was patient and friendly, helping us with our orders and questions. The service was a bit slow, but that was totally fine, considering it was a busy Sunday night. We thought the most exciting dish was the edamame guacamole, which, although pretty good, didn’t quite compare with authentic guacamole. None of our dishes stood out in terms of their taste, but that was fine—a great restaurant to go to with a large group of people on a Sunday night.

Beaumonts has a great happy hour with some delicious food and drinks. There are drinks on the menu that you don’t see very often on other menus and fun appetizers that are worth the price. Dinner seemed expensive but you get a pretty decent portion for the price. You have to find street parking but the area cycles out a lot of traffic so you won’t spend too much time searching for a spot. My only complaint is it was very cold inside but of course I would rather be too cold than too hot. Thank you Beaumont’s! You have wonderful staff and a menu that will bring me back!

Not only was the food great, but the service was super friendly and the music was on point. The staff was very accommodating for our party of 6. Really enjoyed the vibe, so I’ll be back whenever we visit our friends who live right by!

I got severe food poisoning from here on Saturday night. I had the quinoa cauliflower dish and cannot get off the toilet. Tense atmosphere, not good.
Band started20 minutes late(9:20) Ugh!
