I ordered the Ginger Limeade, and it was beautifully presented, light in color but with a lot of punch. I liked it, but eventually added a bit of water to bring the sourness down a tone.
For appetizers, we only ordered the crispy calamari, and it was fine, but we were a bit thrown off by the fact that they looked like onion rings and had so much “coating”.
We both got the green curry, and that was great. Very flavorful, slightly spicy, but the “good spicy,” the one that enhances all other flavors without overbearing them.
For dessert, we had the mango sticky rice, and it was delicious. The mango was super fresh and flavorful, and the rice was exactly what it should be.
Definitely check them out.
tolerable spice. I liked the dish but it felt a little dry and dull. Everything was cooked very well, and I enjoyed it. But it was mainly just rice and chicken. It would have been nice to have a sauce or maybe some additional ingredients in the rice. But I would come back here again and try other meals.
First off, the staff was very friendly. We made a reservation and were seated immediately which we were thankful for as the restaurant started to get very busy after we were seated (6pm). Our server was delightful. The Thai Ice Tea we ordered was a great way to start off our dinner. It was the perfect blend of milk, tea and ice. The Tom Yum soup was unbelievable. My tongue felt like it was attacked with flavor. It’s not to be missed if you enjoy cilantro, shrimp and sheer awesomeness.
We have dined at many Thai restaurants and this one was equally loved by everyone in our party. Easily one of the best! The Pad Thai, Pad Se Ew, and Glass Noodles were flavor perfection.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, and they were helpful without being impatient. They were quick to address any questions and made sure we felt taken care of throughout the meal. This level of service contributed positively to the overall experience.
As for the food, the Green Curry was decent, with good flavor, but the portion size was smaller than expected and the curry was somewhat too watery. Given the price, I was definitely expecting much better. While the dish was satisfying in taste, it didn’t quite match other elements of the experience. That said, Beau Thai is still a good spot for its ambiance and service, though there may be better options in D.C. if you’re looking for great Thai food and larger portions for the price.
From the moment you’re greeted at the door, the friendly service stands out: attentive, quick, and always with a smile. Our server used a handheld Toast POS system, making the entire dining experience seamless and efficient right at the table.
The atmosphere strikes a great balance: clean and bright, thanks to large windows and thoughtful lighting, with a playlist that adds to the laid-back yet lively vibe. Outdoor seating is available and looked like a great spot to unwind on a nice day. There are also larger tables, making it a good choice for groups.
The food is the real highlight. I ordered the Pad Thai with fried tofu, and it was excellent! Generously portioned, packed with flavor, and beautifully presented. The sauce was spot-on, and a surprising touch of radishes added a fresh crunch and pop of color that elevated the dish. There were so many other dishes on the menu that sounded excellent and I can’t wait to return and try more!
Wine pours were generous, and the prices across the board were very reasonable. There’s also a full bar, including a summer-perfect Frosé (frozen Rosé cocktail) that I’ll definitely be trying on my next visit.
If you’re looking for a casual lunch or dinner, Beau Thai is well worth a visit!
