The food was delicious. The char on the steak gave it a great flavor, and it was cooked just right – tender and juicy. Everything was well seasoned and nicely presented. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, and even though he seemed a little forgetful at first, he quickly made up for it with great recommendations and attentive service.
The ambiance was darker and more rustic than I expected, but it made the evening feel cozy and a little more special. Overall, it was a really nice dinner and I’d definitely come back.
The Brussels sprouts were crazy burned. I usually love a good char, but these were over the top and bitter. My pet peeve is wedge salads because no one should have to cut their own salad at the table, so I ordered a Caesar instead. It arrived as whole leaves, unchopped, and definitely not what I’d expect from a fine dining experience.
We were seated near the server station and bathrooms, which made it loud and distracting with constant silverware noise and people walking by. Not romantic at all, especially for an anniversary dinner they knew about in advance.
After dinner, the table was covered in crumbs, and the server just placed dessert and drinks right on top without wiping it down. I ended up cleaning it myself.
The building itself feels run down. The ceiling is covered in spray foam painted black, giving it more of a fancy Mahuffer’s feel than an upscale restaurant. Overall, the food had potential, but the experience and attention to detail just weren’t there.
We started with the grouper cheeks, which were great — the capers added a nice tang that cut through the richness. Then we had the Pasta Nero (squid ink pasta with charred octopus). The pasta was amazing, but the octopus could’ve been a little more tender.
For the main, I went with the ribeye. I was told they’re usually heavy on the char, which I’m not a fan of, so I asked for “easy on the char” — and they actually did it! The steak was okay overall, just a bit tougher than I’d expect for a ribeye.
Service was quick and super friendly, which made up for the few small misses.
I’d definitely come back to try a few other dishes next time.
Our server was outstanding. He went above and beyond with his thorough explanation of the menu, guiding us through the various cuts, preparations, and specials with genuine enthusiasm and expertise. His attentiveness helped us relax and truly enjoy the evening.
What made the night even more memorable was having the chance to meet Beau and Mo themselves. They were warm, welcoming, and truly made us feel like family. Their hospitality, paired with the outstanding service and phenomenal food, turned what could have been a stressful night into one we will never forget.
Beau & Mo’s delivers not just a meal, but an experience—one filled with kindness, professionalism, and an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Highly recommend.
We expect when paying $200-$400, which is what we usually spend at Beau’s, to have a better experience.
Maybe get rid of that booth??
The food was incredible as usual and I must say our server was exceptional!! Just disappointed with the seating.
