Just skip this place. We have NO idea how this place has 4.5 stars. It is a dirty hole in the wall, but not the good kind. Our server just killed a roach and threw it away, and didn’t wash her hands. The food was just not good. The catfish was okay and so were the beans but that was all. My husband did like the potato salad. The corn bread was nasty and the yeast rolls … I think someone forgot to add the yeast they were dry and crumbly inside. Our peach cobbler had maybe 4 peach slices in it. Still so baffled at those 4.5 stars from well over 2,000 people. This has to be the worst restaurant I have ever been too. Also, it was $18 a person. Trust me on this I hardly give negative reviews… avoid this place.

This is a wonderful locally owned restaurant. Huge portions of vegetables and meat brought to the table or turntable! Good country cooking, nice people and attentive server. Pay first and leave a tip at the table. Plenty of parking and clean restrooms.

This restaurant take me back to my childhood. Everything on the table tastes just like it did years ago. Fried chicken, veggies and peach cobbler were delicious.

Food is home cooked service is amazing! Our waiter was the greatest ( Aaron), and the atmosphere is laid back. Enjoy your buffet of food on a lazy Susan.

While vacationing in Chattanooga we were on a tight budget so only ate out twice in the 9 days of our stay. This was one of the two, because I wanted fried catfish, and we were terribly disappointed. (I admit when asked how everything was I only said, “It wasn’t what I was expecting, but it was fine.” I didn’t have the heart or energy to get into all the particulars in person with the owner.)

I have not been there in two and a half years. Service was excellent, and fried chicken was still the best. I can not say the other side dishes were as I remembered. Most were obviously from canned or not original recipes. Too bad, prices have increased, but quality has decreased. No longer a good value. The time was just after 12:00 on a Wednesday and had less than 40% occupancy. The new location for the cash register was a good idea though.

My absolute favorite restaurant! Been eating here with my family since I was a little kid! Great food and great folks! If you’ve never been, I highly recommend! Best fried chicken I’ve ever ate! Love the pulley bones!

The food was not very good. The fried catfish was thin and hard. BBQ was not very good. The white potatoes were okay. The fried chicken was not very flavorful. The mac & cheese was eatable. The corn bread was dry. The apple cobbler was real good.

Was not worth the price we paid $61 for 3 people drank water and could not take any of the leftovers home unless we paid extra. The ribs didn’t have hardly any meat mainly bones with sauce. The fried chicken was good but I will not be back. Makes me wonder what gets done with the left overs lol.
