Southern family style restaurant. All you can eat. Beets were amazing. Hubby loved the catfish. The pulled pork was so tasty but it’s got an unusual flavor. Great. Just not standard, but worth trying. Desserts, their bread pudding is going to be worth the 1 hour walk I need to do to work off tre glucose from this meal.

My wife and I try to find restaurants that are local and especially family owned one when we travel. Bea’s has been a mutigenrationally owned restaurant thats been around for over 75 years. So we were curious about the quality of the food and what makes this place special. The restaurant is an all you can eat family style restaurant. You order and the food is brought out to the table to be shared by your party. The fare is southern comfort staples and they have mastered those dishes. The star though is their fried chicken succulent meat with perfectly seasoned and battered skin. The collard greens and pinto beans were perfect pairings. Other side dishes came and are too many to list but you are not without choices. Finally the peach cobbler and bread pudding were a great finale. Marie, our waitress, was very on spot keeping the food and veverages coming. She was an absolute delight. Highly recommend the spot will return.

We met up with some good friends from Sweetwater at Bea’s Restaurant which has been a famous, decades old family owned place to get some of the best southern soul food you can find anywhere in the entire south. First up is the Crispy Fried Chicken cooked in beef tallow for a slightly sweet and nutty taste followed by various veggies & beans & slaws & their great chicken dumplings! Just looking at the lazy Susan spread on your table and definitely know that you’re belly and taste buds are going to be highly satisfied! Daylen our server was fast and friendly bringing more of whatever we ran out of hot and fresh. Trey, the great grandson of the original owners, came to our table to share some more of the restaurants history and showed that he was a fellow TN Vols fan as well. We laughed out loud over the stories shared and entirely enjoyed the Bea’s experience plus the cherry cobbler of the day was fantastic! A must visit if ever in the Chattanooga area!

40 years old, and I’ve been going to Bea’s Restaurant my whole life. I have aways enjoyed the food, the waitresses, the pulled pork, and the Lazy Susan tables. Not quite the same as it was when I was a little feller, but still the best southern food around.

We loved this southern style restaurant! The fried chicken is delicious!!! Collard greens, potatoes and gravy, vinegar beets, potato salad, corn muffins, beef brisket, pulled pork, baked beans, coleslaw, iced tea and water is what you can expect on a rotating dining table. It’s like stepping back in time, which we appreciate, when families still sat down together and had a wholesome meal and good conversation.

The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Parking is somewhat limited but is free. Pricing is reasonable for the amount of food you get.

I highly recommend this eatery!

Such a unique and awesome way to serve. The food was fantastic, home style greatness! The only downside was the desserts were extremely sweet (coming from two diabetics), but that’s a personal taste. The flavor was good, just too sweet for us. The server was amazing, very attentive and kept everything filled that we wanted. We will definitely be back!

It’s good and bad that this place is so far away. We would end up eating here way too much! You know a place is good if they can make breast chicken taste tender. The chicken dumplings were awesome. The homemade pickled beets brought me back to a place I have not been in a long time. The fried okra was perfect (best we have ever had). The collard greens and pinto beans were great. They could take some of the BBQ chicken and slaw and throw it on the homemade rolls and sell those as sliders out side and make a killing. The only thing that needed some help was the peach cobbler (deserts are different each day). It needed some more cinnamon and a thicker crispy crust (best one we have found was Bishops in Franklin TN). So if we ever drive back through Chattanooga, we WILL be stopping for some more great southern food!

Absolutely wonderful! I’ve loved beas for 15 years now thanks to my grandmother ! It was where I fell in love with pickled beets also ! We used to come here every Saturday years ago , the 4 of us and it was always a good lunch !!! I brought my family of 4 today with a few from church and it was super delicious . 10/10 will recommend to everyone because it’s a great spot to eat . Our server was fantastic and friendly and she kept our food filled up . The lazy Susan is one of my favorites about the place too. It definitely has a little bit of nostalgia to it as well.

I love a fun experience. Laxy Susan tables!!!! Genius. Table sharing was great. Food was fresh and hot. I loved how the owner and all the family worked there. The cook came out to say hello and check on the restaurant. Very organized and fast turn over. Well worth the 2 hour drive. We will be back
