Best kind of diner. I came here my second day in town and it was so good I came back two more times. Excellent food with varied flavors and options for breakfast and lunch. Super friendly staff. Lauren was my server all three times and she was attentive and great to chat with. She remembered me from the day before and was genuinely pleased to see me. I had stuffed French toast, the two-story club, and the apple oatmeal pecan pancakes. All were amazing with the pancakes being my favorite. Very generous portions and incredibly tasty. The atmosphere is comfortable and I liked that the chairs were on wheels. I also love that as a single diner, I was never treated like I was less than or forced to sit at the counter, which has happened at other restaurants to me. My only regrets are that I didn’t come here my first day and that they aren’t open for dinner. I would have eaten here nearly every meal if they were.

Bear Paw Cafe was such a great breakfast stop. The waffles were incredible, the ham was flavorful and fresh big portion and the hot chocolate hit the spot. It does get busy, so going a little earlier makes the experience even better. The team is warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. They’re right here in St George, and I absolutely recommend them. As a Utah realtor, I’m always out exploring local spots, and this one is worth the visit.

This looked like a cool resturant, however the tables are very close together and don’t offer you a lot of room. I ordered the French toast while my husband ordered the trappers omelet with home made fries. His meal was very good. Two thumbs up for the fries, they were amazing. My French toast was soft and mushy in the middle which I didn’t care for.

Recommend going ! I went after Christmas bur before new years during brunch and it was packed!

Pros
-High recommend the Bear paw hot chocolate. This ain’t no Swiss miss . This is “the good stuff.”
-“fries” are actually medallions but are delicious
-they cook with a generous amount of butter so flavorful !
-eggs Benedict and French toast chefs kiss
-a lot of the chairs are Rolley chairs! which is convenient and fun!
-attentive staff

Cons
-The seating space is a little small
-The food is cooked with a lot of butter so for those with conditions like acid reflux that’s a draw back- BUT! Upon asking they will make your meal with a substitution, like pam.

-There’s no space inside for waiting for your table. So you have to wait outside.
But they do take phone numbers so you can walk around Downtown instead.
-parking is a little lacking. You might have to park down the street

Me and my friends were looking for a breakfast/brunch spot after returning from a weekend at zion national park. We saw the menu and decided to give this place a try and thank goodness because this place was amazing! I have a sweettooth so I decided to get the French toast and hot chocolate. Both were a perfect match for each other. Along that they had savory options like hash browns and sausage which made the meal feel like an entire experience!

The food was delicious! I had the Bear Paw Ham and Egg Sandwich. The restaurant feels cozy with the hanging plants inside. We were there early and found parking very easily behind the restaurant. It’s conveniently located downtown. Best breakfast restaurant in St George!

This cute location felt authentic in a warm type of way and we were suprised to see this location is open 365 days a year!
I was especially impressed with our waitress, Courtney. She always had a smile on her face and listened to my order intently, remaining upbeat without making us feel rushed. And the cherry on the top–she brought out a birthday desert. No one in our family mentioned the birthday to her–so amazed she noticed that detail and created a special moment.

We will be excited to come back.

Have heard about bear paw for years and couldn’t wait to give it a try! There was only a 15 minute wait for a larger group. The seating area is rather small so tables are pretty close together and small. The food was pretty good, not amazing but good. The hashbrowns and pancakes were a favorite for our group. The portions of French toast and waffles seemed way small compared to the sides. Overall not bad
