If this restaurant is fairly new I am in for stopping more often. We wanted a simple snack type .eal. this was or first road trip in months cause wife’s is really getting better since her hospital stay. Our server handled us with top care And service. She was busy too. So look at the mini bowl choices. Never been to a Mexican restaurant with so many options. A great stop.

Love the interior at night. Live music on Saturday night is a treat. Margaritas are nice on the rocks although pricey for Ozaukee County since I live downtown Milwaukee. The chimichangas are very tasty and so are the large soft tacos.

Food was amazing!! The young lady at the counter was also super sweet and helpful. We stopped here and got the Loaded Nachos to go, since we were headed home. We were warned that they don’t typically do that since the chips get soggy but we live nearby so we didn’t mind. (And just great service that they even warned us, so bonus star for that!) Glad we still got them because they were incredible! Our order also came with an additional side of chips, salsa, sour cream, and cinnamon sugar chips. Their salsa is amazing!! This was our first time trying Beanies, and based on this, we will be going again.

Did not meet expectations. I expected the food to be much much better for about $20 a plate. My burrito was very dry and had Seasoning salt sprinkled all over it as a garnish, making it very salty and dry. The taco salad was very greasy and was not very appetizing. Service was friendly and the drinks were good so if your coming for the beverages the Margarita is very good.

Food was delicious! I had one of their specials, the shrimp street corn tacos with a red sangria, and topped it off with Christa’s Postres for dessert! Yum! Our waitress gave us great service and was very pleasant. Although the waterfront restaurants get more attention, don’t let that stop you from enjoying a very good Mexican meal!

Such a beautifully decorated, bright, and fun atmosphere! Hostess was welcoming, very pleasant and was accommodating with our seating choice. Pot of Gold Margaritas had a wonderful tropical flavor, were delicious & fun; gold candy flakes upon the glass rim and sprinkled a top the beverage, with a cute rainbow candy. A basket of tortillas and salsa were included to start off our meal. We both ordered fajitas; veggie for me, chicken for my husband – both were very lightly seasoned. Peppers and onions had a fresh flavor which was enjoyable. Veggie fajitas were served with flour tortillas, refried beans, lime rice (by choice), lettuce and tomato. My vegan needs were met with a change from Spanish type rice to lime rice which was delicious! I asked that the cheese and sour cream be omitted from my order – waitress was very accommodating. Was informed refried beans do not include animal ingredients. Portion sizes were large; we ate half and took half home. Waitress Sierra was welcoming, had a smile on her face throughout our visit, was outgoing, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Swing type seating at the bar looks really fun! Saw that outdoor igloo (enclosed) dining can be reserved. Appears that regular outdoor dining is also available with small tables out front and larger dining tables on the side of building by igloo dining. T-shirts and hoodies were on display and available for purchase at a reasonable price. Dining area and restrooms were both very clean.

Overpriced Taco Bell
Two stars! One for the food being technically edible, and another because my jaw got an unexpected workout. Beyond that, this restaurant should come with a warning label: “For entertainment purposes only.”
Quality of Food:
I ordered the beef tacos. The beef was so overcooked I’m convinced it died twice. Each bite was like chewing on a leather wallet filled with regret. My friend ordered the fish tacos, which looked like two random fish sticks wrapped in a tortilla by someone who’d already quit mentally but hadn’t told their boss yet. Presentation? Let’s just say my leftovers at home have more confidence and charisma.
The Price:
Paying $22 for two small tacos that were drier than a PowerPoint presentation is bold. I did get rice and beans, though maybe those were enchanted beans? Because I’ll need a fairy tale to justify that bill.
Now, let’s talk soda. Beanies charges full price for refills. We got two sodas and two refills, a grand total of $17. That’s $4.25 per soda, or as I like to call it, liquid daylight robbery. I haven’t been charged for refills since the dinosaurs roamed the earth.
Result:
If overpriced mediocrity is your thing, Beanies is your Disneyland. As for me, I’ll be spending my taco money elsewhere, preferably somewhere that understands what seasoning is.
Oh, and Beanies, if you’re thinking about replying to this review, don’t. Save your typing energy for improving the food. No amount of PR spin can resurrect those tacos.

Super cute Mexican restaurant. The flights are great and salsa/queso is so good. The swings at the bar are super fun. We are from out of town and will definitely be back! The bartender, Maddie, was super friendly and attentive!
