This is such a good restaurant, the food is just fantastic, absolutely delicious! What a lovely view this restaurant has looking out at the river! There is also outdoor seating that is great as well. It’s a shame, I don’t see any brunch menu listed now, but man, I loved their brunch! Even took my mother in law when she came to visit. We will have to return to try their dinner menu sometime – I’m certain it will be great!

Our server Makenna was a shining star. The shrimp ceviche was perfect. The homemade fried pita chips were crunchy and chewy. Just right for dipping into the shrimp and guacamole base of the appetizer. Main courses were lambchops (highly recommend) the wine recommendation paired well as suggested by Makenna. The sea bass was a beautifully plated, but would have liked a little less fat in the base. The bread pudding was enough for 4 people. The view is the best in the area, and if it had been a bit cooler, would have eaten outside. Will def return and many thanks to the entire staff who made a birthday celebration outstanding.

Wanted a nice establishment to celebrate our wedding anniversary and Beacon 53 did NOT disappoint! Great atmosphere, service and food.

Being located at a Casino was a concern for me so I checked it out before making a reservation. The enterance is separte from the casino or hotel. So there were no loud sounds, flashing lights or smoke smell. It was calm and serene.

The restaurant affords a view of the Mississippi River that is not available at any other establishment in Cape Girardeau. Fantastic!

There service was attentive without being presumptuous. The staff was impeccable in their timing and anticipation of our desires.

Their food was delightful. We started with drinks shrimp ceviche which was as good as we have ever tasted. The bread was a special treat. My wife had the fresh fish. She loved it. I tried the Ravioli with a side of Brussels Sprouts. Both exceeded my expectations. We rounded off our meal with French Press Coffee and lingered.

This has become our favorite restaurant in Missouri by far and stands in the midst of our top ten in the country alongside of Michelin ratings.

What a beautiful spot! Great place for a Sunday brunch! We had the avocado toast (loved the 2 poached eggs) and the mushroom flatbread, both were very good! Our server, Linda took very good care of us and the other customers. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Sarah was the best bartender I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t ask for anyone different. She crafts her own cocktails to add to the menu and assembles them to a degree unbeknownst to the masses. Good drink me like.

Not impressed at all. The environment did not match the “upscale” feel suggested by the menu prices ($$). The floors looked worn, and to my surprise, there was carpet—which feels outdated and frankly unhygienic for a restaurant claiming to be high-end.

The food was okay, but nothing special—certainly not worth $150 per dishes. For that price, I expect a higher level of presentation, flavor, and atmosphere. Disappointing overall.

This was the best place I’ve ever eaten! The old fashioned was the best I’ve ever had. Not too bitter, had a slight, sweet orange taste to it. The fries and the swordfish were also the best I’ve ever had. I don’t normally eat swordfish because of the texture, but I didn’t have that issue here. I left thinking about that old fashioned. Will definitely be back!! The service and food taste were better than the Gordon Ramsey restaurant!

We recently had our first experience at Beacon 53 and had such a nice time. Our waitress, Andrea, was so sweet and helpful with walking us through the menu, giving us recommendations, and making us feel so taken care of. The food was excellent and the personable interactions with Andrea and other staff has made Beacon a place we will be coming back to when we want to celebrate special occasions. Thank you for a lovely evening!
