Great place for a casual meal. The burger was good, fries were crispy. The pizza was good for a place that isn’t a pizza place. Also the staff was very friendly. I was just disappointed they didn’t have the French onion mac and cheese. I rated it a 4 because there wasn’t a standout dish. I would go back for the burger though – only $13 and good portion and tasted great.

Had a great breakfast with family at Beach Cafe. The pancake is amazing, very close to Golden Diner quality without the 2 hour wait. Eggs were cooked perfectly, coffee was dark and rich, potato pancake crispy and delicious. Definitely worth the visit. We will return for sure!

I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience was beyond unacceptable.

We actually found a piece of broken glass in our chips. Yes—glass. When we flagged it, the servers were unresponsive, and their only “solution” was to offer to make us another batch (as if we’d dare eat more after that). To make matters worse, they still planned to charge us for the bill as if nothing had happened.

The service was terrible from the start. The waitress who first greeted us looked like she didn’t want to be there, with an attitude that made us feel unwelcome. The waitstaff overall were inattentive, and when we raised the glass issue, the manager showed no urgency or accountability—almost daring us to keep eating their food.

Between the dangerous food safety issue, the dismissive attitude, and the attempt to still charge us after serving glass, this place is a hard never again.

I first stopped in here on a Thursday night for a drink and was advised by Paul the bartender to try the nightly special Thanksgiving Dinner. He said the cornbread sausage stuffing was worth the price alone. He wasn’t kidding. The meal was delicious.
Paul was an affable engaging guy and skilled at his craft. Definitely will return.

Hands-down five stars!
Very friendly staff. Nice ambience. And I finally found the best French dip sandwich in the country.
I know that’s a big statement. But I’ve been searching for decades. The bread, the onion jam, perfect au jus. Everything about it was epic! Seriously!
also at my table was a fantastic lobster roll, and pretty darn good chicken and waffles.
This place rocks!

Beach Cafe is an absolute gem on the Upper East Side. We stopped by for burgers and cottage fries, and both were fantastic. The fries were crispy and delicious, just the way I like them. The burgers were perfectly cooked and juicy, hitting the spot perfectly. It’s rare to find a place that nails both the main course and the sides so well, but Beach Cafe does it with ease.

The wait staff were friendly and efficient, making sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. They were attentive but also gave us space to enjoy our meal. It’s clear that the team here knows how to balance great service with a relaxed dining experience.

The atmosphere at Beach Cafe is warm and inviting, with a cozy vibe that makes you feel right at home. It’s easy to see why this place has such a loyal following. The decor is charming, and there’s a welcoming feel as soon as you walk in. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind and enjoy good food in good company.

Whether you’re looking for a great meal or just a place to relax with friends, Beach Cafe is a top choice. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable spot with great food and friendly service on the Upper East Side.

Just ate at Beach Cafe for the first time and it was 10/10! We saw that they had their martini glasses chilling on ice so we had to get one. We also got a burger and the kale Caesar salad and none of it disappointed. The servers/bartenders were amazing and the vibes in there were just immaculate. We went on a Sunday but it sounds like they have a great happy hour too. 1/2 martinis Monday-Friday say less!!!

Really enjoyed the food here. It’s a simple cafe here in the Upper east side, ample seating and really good service.

I had their best burger i.e. their bacon & cheese beef burger and it was so good! I love a simple burger that taste amazing. It comes with cottage fries that were also really good:) I have to come back and try their brunch next!
