Fun selection of cocktails with a local take on classic bar food. The location is great. It’s across the street from beach access (parking is for business only, beach parking is across the street). Great place to stop by before or after some time in the surf and sand. There’s an RV camp ground on site. Next door is a little surf/beach shop with ice cream. They regularly have events like trivia night, karaoke, or live music.

Such a quaint little restaurant right across from the beach! My family and I have eaten at Beach Bums several times and the food is amazing! I love the Kracken burger with the best fries I have ever tasted. I carried My grandsons to have breakfast with Santa and they absolutely loved it! I couldn’t keep them out if the bouncy house after they gobbled down there delicious Waffles and the other one said best grits and sausage and cheese roll ups he’s had. By the time we left it was lunch so we ordered a pizza to go and when we got home it was the best pizza we’ve had! If I could use 10 stars I would. I almost forgot the staff was amazing and extremely friendly. Will definitely be eating there again soon!!!

This is a very cute roadside bar & grill. The staff is very friendly and attentive. It did take a really long time for the food to come out but we came in right before “rush hour” of everyone coming in from the beach around 5. The mozzarella sticks were delicious, and the fries were perfect, but my shrimp po boy was really underwhelming and not worth $15. Not much seasoning/sauce ratio and the bread would have been so much better toasted. I wouldn’t mind coming back to try their pizza and or the ice cream next door. I would like to give it another try when I’m in the area next.
*Update. Went back with my friends and tried the pulled pork sandwich this time which was very good. The hand cut chips really needed salt but otherwise good. We shared a basket of mozzarella sticks and onion rings, both were delicious and plenty for four people hungry from coming off the beach.

Great stop for great pizza! Such a nice staff and chill place. I went ahead and knowingly ordered a 16” pizza just for my self and was happy to have all the leftovers. Thought I took a picture of my Cherry Bounce drink but I did not. It was a perfect summer drink. Plenty of parking.

What a warm and inviting reception we got when entering the establishment. We were seated very quickly with our 5 party and waitress came to our table quickly. The appetizer was delicious and the crab dip was hot. The food order came out all at the same time, hot and the serving portions were too big so we had to take out doggie bags. It is very reasonably priced. There was karao

Sunday night I ordered the chicken tenders basket, something nice and easy, im not sure how they came out dark brown, burnt, and dry. Not to mention the bartender that paid for a cooks mess up on another person’s to go, when the cook refuses to correct and order and the bartender john paid money out of his pocket to correct it.
Monday I ordered a pizza around 4pm, I was told the only cook in the kitchen wasn’t the best a pizza, I figured it’d just be lope sided, not as burnt as my tenders the day before.
Great FOH staff, but a sorry excuse for the nighttime cooks. Ill go back for a drink but I am definitely not giving the place another try food wise.

Stopped in here for the first time and got carryout after walking around looking at Christmas lights at the park. We were not expecting the pizzas to be so humongous! We got the Hog Heaven and the Beach Bum, and they were very good! Had a mermaid punch cocktail while I waited, and it was so good I got one to go to! The bartender was friendly, but appeared to be maybe a little overwhelmed. She was the only one there to take care of tables, bar customers, and there were quite a few carryout orders just during the time I was there. She accidentally charged me somebody else’s bill, and had to redo it, and my credit did come off my bank in a few days as she stated it would. She actually had to fix my bill twice, because of mistakes, but she was friendly about it and I was trying to grant her some patience. All worked out fine in the end. I would definitely come back here again for pizza and drinks!

I’ve been to Beach Bum’s twice, once a couple years ago and again this year, and both times they were amazing! I got the spicy shrimp tacos, fries and the buffalo chicken dip and everything was sooo good! The chicken dip was creamy and paired perfectly with the chips. The fries were so crispy and they tasted a little bit fishy, like maybe they were fried in some type of fish oil? I’m not sure, but they tasted so good. and the shrimp tacos were a bit spicy, but the flavor was absolutely amazing even a day later! the customer service was also top tier. they took great care of me and the other people in the restaurant. they were very friendly and super fast. 10/10 recommend 🙂

What a fun place this is!! My family of 11 and I came to Topsail for a week. This was one of our favorite places. That have a great deck area for sitting, eating, and playing corn hole. The waitstaff are sweet, friendly. The food is top notch. We will be coming back next June, for sure!
