Really solid little place but I just can’t get to a 5-star review for a carry-out place with a limited menu. That said, I can most assuredly recommend the place very highly!
Stopped in for a burger towards the end of lunch service on a Wednesday. Place is too small to have indoor seating so there are picnic tables towards the back of the parking lot behind the place. Ambiance ain’t why you come here – its the flattop griddled smashed burgers, for sure.
I went with their onion burger. It looked like enough so I passed on a fried side. Glad I did because it was a generous burger and loaded with toppings.
Onion burger is described on the menu as “Oklahoma style, grilled onions, French onion aioli, swiss cheese & Funyons.” No idea what Oklahoma-style means but it sure was delicious! I likely would have asked for a different cheese had I spotted the fact it was Swiss (not a fan) but didn’t and the burger was nothing short of amazing! Not sure what decade it was when I last ate a Funyon but it fit better in the burger than I remember them as a snack. Big flavor, handed to me within maybe 30 seconds of being cooked and really, really good.

Oh my goddddddd. I would do a lot for a burger from this place, like drive over an hour after seeing someone post about the amazing smash burgers a long time ago. I finally took the time to make the drive, go hiking, stop at Franconia sculpture garden, and had an amazing day. These burgers are worth the drive and were honestly very reasonably priced. The best smash burger I’ve had in foreverrrrrr. The fried pickles were amazing too, just wow. Service was great, loved the outdoor seating in the back since it’s a walk up type place, I will definitely return during another day trip. Just heavenlyyyyyyyy.

Outstanding smashies! Not fast food as their sign says, just fresh and tasty. Fries are great too! And if that weren’t enough already, there’s beer! Not dine-in, but there are shady (as in cool) picnic tables a plenty. Wish they were open more days and times, but I can adjust my schedule accordingly! 🙂

We hiked to Be Wild Burgers from the north campground at Interstate State Park. It was a quick 10-minute hike using the Ladder Tank Trail. My partner had the steak house burger with tots. I had the pickle burger. Both burgers were grilled perfectly and were tasty and juicy. The only seating is outdoors, although there was plenty of seating, and we were happy to eat outside, enjoying the sun and the views.

Best burgers. Hands down. I have never had a bad experience. I get the inferno burger (minus jalapeños) with fries and a side of dill ranch, and secret sauce (dip everything in both sauces, trust me!!)

I drove by with my windows down and it smelled so good I flipped a (legal!) U turn and I’m so glad I did. I got a dill pickle burger with tots. It was DELICIOUS! Burger is a smash burger with the crispy edges. Tater tots are mega crispy.
I appreciate a place with a limited menu to focus on quality rather than quantity. This is worth a visit. Seating is all outside if you want to stay on-site. Otherwise there’s GREAT picnic spaces in close proximity–Interstate Park, Osceola Landing, Franconia Sculpture Park, just about anywhere along the river.
I hadn’t even finished my burger and I messaged 2 locals to tell them to visit ASAP. I’ll definitely be back!
