Best crab ration in town!!! Hands down. Papaya salad is on point, so fresh. The khao soi is smooth and aromatic. Pad Thai is on the mild side, but that’s for a reason. They provided a fantastic spice rack to spice it up.

We are new to Boise and tried Be Thai on our way to Costco. WOW! Food exceeded expectations. Wait staff was attentive and super friendly. We tried the Chef Special Beef Noodle Soup. It was richly flavorful and unlike any other Asian Beef Noodle soups- not pho, not Taiwanese Beef noodle, but really satisfying and fulfilling! We will be back !

Ordered for pick up and oh my god it is so flavorful and tasty! I got the pineapple chicken fried rice because it sounded so different and I wanted to know what fried rice with raisins in it taste like and the answer is: good. The portion is huge and the price is super reasonable.

My girlfriend wanted to meet for lunch and she picked Be Thai. I’m so happy she picked this joint cause they have been on my to eat list for a while. I love trying new Thai restaurants in the valley. I wish I lived closer to this joint, I would have tried them out a long time ago.

I remember this joint in the late 90’s being Yen Ching. Then it changed into another Chinese restaurant after. This restaurant is in such a neat venue but it with time, it has slowed down a lot. This venue used to be buzzin back in the day. I will always have fond memories hanging out in this area. Grabbing dinner, playing at the arcade, grabbing coffee and of course watching the newest movies.

I had finished my client early so I headed to the restaurant. I did arrive 45 minutes before our meet up time but I decided to head in. I was greeted by a my server. She told me to sit where I wanted so I grabbed a booth. There were a couple tables that she was dropping food off at before she dropped off some menus. No biggie, I looked at their menu online so I got to see what they all has. Since I was going to hang out for a minute, I ordered fried tofu and a lychee green tea to keep me company till my friend comes.

The fried tofu was so good! They were crispy on the outside, perfectly fried golden. The inside was soft. It came with a sweet and sour dipping sauce that had peanuts i. it. All together was was the best bite! I was planning on saving half of the fried tofu for my friend but I ended up eating all of it, I couldn’t resist. The lychee green tea was very good! It is on the sweeter side so I did water it down a bit. It ended up being just right.

My friend showed up and we both got lunch ordered. I was still hungry even though I smashed all of the fried tofu. I was debating from the shrimp papaya salad or the fried chicken wings. They both sounded so good! I ended up going with the the green papaya salad with shrimp. I got it in mild. Thai people can eat the hell out of spicy food and I’m not that daring withThai peppers so I felt like mild would be safe spice level for me.

My papaya salad was beautifullyplated! It was on a fresh lettuce leaf. Everything looked so clean and fresh. It had a nice amount of green beans in it. The shrimp on top looked plump. It was a hearty amount. The papaya was crunchy and flavorful. The green beans were also very crunchy. The shrimp was cooked just right! The only negative thing about the salad was the spice level. I did ask for mild but it was really spicy. I did talk to my server about it. She checked in the back to make sure it was mild. The chef said the Thai peppers they have in were spicier than normal. She was kind and took my salad back to the kitchen. They added more papaya salad to dull the spice down for me. It worked! It was much better and I didn’t have to eat ice after every bite of it. I ate a much as I could but ended up packing more than half of it to take home.

I’m happy I got to have lunch here today. The food was so good! So fresh! Our server was the sweetest and did such a great job taking care of us. Being in this area brought back so many fun memories. Be Thai has officially been marked off my to eat list and will now be placed on my come back list. I look forward to my next batch of papaya salad from this joint.

Be Thai is a casual restaurant located at the Boise Spectrum with table seating and take out. The staff is warm and friendly. Be Thai offers a variety of lunch specials, but I chose to order the Pad Thai with shrimp off the regular menu. I also tried the Lychee Iced Tea which I found sweet for my taste, but at the same time it was very refreshing. Halfway through the meal I realized I was missing the spice that gives Pad Thai the heat which I really enjoy. I didn’t even miss the spice at first because the Pad Thai was delicious. I asked the server about it for future reference and upon request they will bring a tray of spices to the table. I can’t wait to try them! Be Thai offers homemade coconut ice cream among their desserts that I really wanted to try but unfortunately I was too full!
The menu is available on their website. I definitely recommend Be Thai.

The staff was friendly and the food is good quality. Low wait time for seating and to receive food. A lot of traditional food available as well as some westernized choices.

I had the phad thai. It was a bit too sweet for my tastes. I suppose my mom would love it, but I would appreciate it being more semi-sweet.

There are no bathrooms in the restaurant. One must use a community bathroom outside the restaurant

My waitress was super friendly.

I will try again sometime with a less sweet menu choice.

Service here was our favorite part. The chicken satay was cooked well and the peanut sauce that came with it was really good. The Pad Thai wasn’t as good as some of the other nearby restaurants but we enjoyed the Red Curry with Chicken and Pineapple Fried Rice. They have Thai tea and Lychee Iced Tea here. I would come back to try other menu items.

What a great meal. Authentic food. We had the standard green curry and spring rolls. They were terrific. And we had the chef special beef noodle soup. It was awesome with deep flavor. We’ll be back here. Thank you.
