Visited Nov 17, 2025- Time of the year affects crawfish – not available in winter months. So I ordered the boiled shrimp, despite being a huge tub of raw shrimp out front for display, told they were sold out. So I ordered the fried shrimp- the fried shrimp were very small pre-breaded. A bit disappointing.

I was charged for boiled shrimp and tipped in that, then the attendant came to the table to tell me she had credited the card because they didn’t have any. Then bought the fried shrimp and tipped again only to realize she credited the meal only and not the tip so they ended up with a 20% tip on 3 meals which just adds insult to a less than average experience.

My wife had the catfish poboy and said the fish was good and well prepared – bread-roll was soggy so she ate the fish and skipped the roll.

This is one of the only restaurants in the area so you’re stuck if you’re starving. Hold out for something else at least in the winter months. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again.

Best part of the visit was the selfie with the gator head cook!

Bathrooms were clean- for what it’s worth.

Enjoyed our time experiencing the south Louisiana Cajun food. This is a River Road nostalgic kind of a stop that harkens tales of hunters gathering for grub and locals stopping for food food & conversation. Speaking of food – if it’s available, definitely choose the rabbit gumbo! If you’re not inclined, the fried catfish, which is freshly caught in Lake Des Allemands, is a sure bet. Don’t be in a rush when you visit. Stop & stay a bit for some good conversations.

We went to B and C with a group of high school students after attending Oak Island Plantation. It was a wonderful experience. Geneva and her staff served us so well. She worked with us on a menu we could afford and even ordered fresh crawfish while we were there and they helped all our kids learn how to eat it. It was just what I was looking for in a down home, cajun seafood experience.

We stopped here for lunch after visiting the nearby Whitney Plantation. It seemed like a typical no-frills seafood restaurant. Nothing fancy about the interior. The friendly staff was welcoming to some out of town visitors. They answered questions and made us feel welcome. We tried the crayfish kickers, seafood gumbo and oyster po’boy. Everything was good and the po’boy was extra tasty. Would definitely stop here again.

the food was absolutely delicious. good Cajun seafood. service was good old southern hospitality. I have a little shop where you can buy raw food or refrigerated food as well. you can also buy lots of souvenirs and trinkets. I absolutely love the way the place is decorated exactly what I thought. they even have a room in the back where it looks like they can do you larger groups
