As for the food; the King Crab was delicious, we absolutely loved it. The shrimp and the boiling spices were also spot on. The oysters are from the Gulf; I love oysters, but the Gulf variety isn’t my personal favorite. Still, we ate them with pleasure.
Service deserves a special mention; our server was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful.
Just one small note: Our little guy was a bit upset that there was no apple juice on the kid’s menu, but the lemonade did the trick. 🙂
I will definitely be back. Highly recommended!
We tend to order the build your own boil, and every time it’s delicious! Definitely what keeps us coming back.
We recently tried the empanadas, and they were soooooo good!!!! They came out hot and fresh. All of them were stuffed too. We look forward to returning again!
We arrived at 4 PM on March 4, 2026 (yesterday) to enjoy “Water Creature Wednesday” (afternoon special pricing).
We soon noticed that other tables had been seated and already started to be served before we even saw a waiter. We had to flag the hostess down to get anyone’s attention.
The first thing we were advised is that the half-price oysters were already gone. We noted multiple tables including those seated after us were served oysters (?).
ok – so they ran out.
We then ordered alternative entrees, which were timely and marginally acceptable in terms of quality and quantity but nothing like what BB’s markets on its web site pictures, etc.
I completed my entire meal then without our waitress EVER coming back to see if we neeeded any refills. My wife ordered a 2nd beer that didn’t show up to we were about to leave. Other sides we ordered were also delivered when the meal was basically over.
Anyone reading the reviews on TripA, Google, etc about the Kingwood location will notice that the “service is mediocre at best”. A smile and “I’m sorry” doesn’t cut it though.
We ended up dropping $100+ for 3 people when we were actually anticipating happy hour “Water Creature’ pricing.
Don’t be fooled by the allure of BB’s marketing gimmicks or special discount days. it’s all a rouse and bait and switch from our perspective.
Expect to hear ‘I’m sorry’ quite a bit if you roll the dice on this place.
I was especially attended to by Bri the manager who stopped by to tell me about the origins of the restaurant since it is my first time visiting Houston.
She suggested an avocado ranch dressing to try with my fries since she noticed that I was eating my fries with regular ranch. After trying the avocado ranch dressing, it was so good to me that I stopped dipping into the regular ranch dressing!
After that, I told her that I was mainly there to try the brownie in which she smiled and said that I would love it because she loved it.
She was correct in that I loved it and actually prefer it without caramel because I am just not a caramel fan. But she suggested that I try it with extra pecans which I did and although it was good, I actually had enough pecans on the dish in which I didn’t need it to enhance the taste.
But all of these examples illustrate how caring and assertive Bri was with me which truly made my day.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I only hope that Bri will continue to work diligent because if she does, numerous doors and opportunities will open for her because she is a top rated employee!!!
