We got the Chilli Chicken, Chicken masala chicken & beef kababs & spinach. The kababs bbq flavor was a 10 out of 10. Chutney white & green were both great especially the white one because it had a hint of sweetness, usually restaurants make their white sauce too acidic but that wasn’t the case here.
Service & employees are friendly and helpful. They took their time to make me fresh karahi which I defiintely appreciated. Jazak’Allah khair.
We did a large order of sheesh kebabs pieces for a new years event get together. They were spoiled. They gave off a yogurt and sour like smell, this smell wasn’t there when we bought it, but overtime it got worse and was evidently not fresh food. During the event it was noticeable, and members could not eat the food, as it was most likely dangerous to serve. They gave a mix of fresh and old kebabs from the day , most likely did not make it on the spot. I noticed the chef or worker grabbing multiple from a container , with his bare hands as well.
We went back the next day , and presented the spoiled kebabs they sold as evidence.
the workers were willing to refund only the pieces we bought back from the event that wasn’t thrown out , and were not willing to refund the order since the rest were missing.
If food is spoiled, how would u expect all pieces to be there if it had to be thrown out ? They wanted us to pick the kebabs off ppls plate, bring them all back , for a full refund. What ? They didn’t want to believe us , the manager knows my mother frequents that place for these orders, but thought we were lying.
Mind you the order was only 35 kebabs, how much money would they really lose, maybe business isn’t doing well anymore and they need count their pennys.
We didn’t care about the money when they said that. Shows their pure neglect and wanted to alter the issue and make it our fault, when they sold and served poisoned food. We walked out not taking their offer, serving bad product and being cheap is not good restaurant practice, or in general good behavior.
We went to test them, to see if they were willing to give the entire money back, we would say no it’s okay next time make sure it’s okay. But then the managers behavior and neglect left us leaving with a sour taste in our mouth just like their food. Keep our money, you need it.
This business should have realized the health hazard they made, and should have out of good will realized their mistake , and should have been accommodated out of their negligence. People could have been sick from their food, worse end up hospitalized, the meat was not fresh, instead trying to argue. Manager didn’t seem smart.
I was a seasoned customer, the lack of common sense and behavior from the manager has made them lose a customer, to be fair I had suspicions of this place food safety, and last night I was sure of it.
I will also be spreading word in my neighborhood, people who I recommended this place to out of town. and hillside ave in general to avoid this place as people frequently go here due to its location.
Have your chef wear gloves when making the kebabs, I noticed he is bare handed when making the meat. Double check your meat quality, how it’s being stored, and have some dignity and common sense. This place needs new management and workers, and cleanliness.
DO NOT EAT HERE , THEY DO NOT SERVE FRESH FOOD, RESTAURANT IS HEALTH HAZARD. MANAGER LACKS COMMON SENSE AND DIGNITY.
