FINALLY…good BBQ in San Diego. Why I have to go to The Pizza Standard in Tierrasanta to get this makes no sense, but it is what it is. Definitely worth the drive and having a choice of pork or brisket or a mix is right up my alley. I’ve had it the few times they’ve offered it, and it seems to get better each time. I was happy the first time, so there’s no disappointment for me. The homemade Mac n cheese is very rich and flavorful, and the cup is jammed with it, so there’s a snack for tomorrow.
The newest experimental dessert is a banana cream pie of some sort with a Graham cracker base-super tasty and not a giant sugar bomb.
