We are a mom and pop diner overlooking the runway at Rosecrans Memorial Airport. This is not a fast food restaurant, as everything is cooked to order. You can find all of the classic diner foods you know and love, plus a variety of speciality menu items. Anything from handmade tenderloins and daily lunch specials to made-from-scratch pies and cookies. Drive on out to see what all the buzz is about! Located in the NEW terminal building at Rosecrans Memorial Airport.

It was a bit of a hunt for me to find the door at 630 this morning in the dark. It is announced on their Facebook page that they have moved to the new terminal but there is construction going on and perhaps I missed some signs in the dark. Anyway, I had a short walk to the new terminal and found it. Wi Fi was not available, I was told it would not be ready until the new tower was completed. Wait staff was friendly, attentive and helpful. Food was good and good value. Coffee was good, perhaps a medium roast. I had the loaded breakfast tots which is more than one meal.

This is a cafe next to an airport on a military base! The views of seeing the runway & planes landing are really cool! The food is great! I can only eat the breakfast menu… because they’re closed when I get off work during the week! The only issue is…my food the last 2 visits have taken 30min.-1 hr. to get on both visits! Last year in March & now today. I’m assuming it’s a staffing issue ( which I fully understand), but I still gotta mention it. It’s a great breakfast cafe & and hopefully, one day, I can try lunch! Also. I think adding chicken fried steak to the menu will go over well!

Great little restaurant in the ground floor of the Control Tower of a National Guard Airbase in Saint Joseph, Missouri. Open Tuesday thru Friday, 6 AM – 2PM and Saturday, 7AM – 11AM. Great food, especially breakfast. Interesting view of the runway and National Guard planes. Many countries train their pilots here on the Transport planes. Prices are reasonable and the portions are good sized. You have to drive into Kansas to get there due to the Missouri River changing course around 1952. Biscuits and Gravy are excellent. Well worth the little detour through Kansas for a great breakfast.

Absolute gem of a diner. Wonderful staff, extremely friendly and easy going. Driving up I wondered if I was in the right place, as it looked like the airport tower building. That’s probably because it is. Simple menu with your breakfast basics, lunch menu is even shorter. I’ve always been weary of a restaurant with a large menu. This place does a few dishes, but those dishes they do amazingly well. Fly in or drive in, whichever you’d prefer.
Now, to the dish. I ordered the breakfast burrito with hashbrowns. Typically, it’s eggs, sausage and cheese, but I had them throw in some ham and bacon to boot. It was plated and presented beautifully, with a small side of salsa. I never even touched the salsa. Phenomenal burrito, good hash browns. The browns could have been slightly crispier, but that’s a personal preference on my part.
Special shout out to chase for being so accommodating to me and my big truck.

This was such a cute little restaurant tucked away within the airport area! The staff were all friendly and the food was phenomenal! I highly recommend their pancakes and western omelet! The pancakes are huge and have a sweet flavor with their syrup. The inside was really nice and clean! I’ll definitely go here when I come out to St. Joe to visit

I was here all day for my uncles retirement party where we got to see him fly off his jet and I had ended up buying some coffee and cookies and they were both spectacular and overall had a great time there even tho I was there for over 8 hours

We were there last Saturday and it took us 50 minutes to get our food! I ordered a cinnamon roll for dessert and a cheese omelet! Waitress with greenish lenses brought my cinnamon roll out first and it was bubbling it was so hot. Asked her to take it back and I’d take a cold roll….she brought it to me and it was frozen! She brought my omelet and I told her the egg whites inside were not cooked…..she told me it was white cheese! She took it and brought it back and stated she cooked it in microwave for two minutes! It was so hard couldn’t hardly cut it! Real disappointment as we heard great things and we’re excited to try! Not sure we will go back!

The food was decent. The waitresses were very stressed because it was very busy. And when I asked to have something added on to my order, the waitress got very upset at me and said, she’d already put my order in. There is very limited seating, it is very crowded

Great food and awesome to have a place at Rosecrans to eat. Otherwise it’s at least 10 minutes to the next closest thing. The best part is you don’t have to settle. The food is great, the staff is amazing and friendly, and the dessert isn’t bad either! Great selection on the lunch menu with daily specials. Have had their great breakfast a few times as well.
Located in the terminal with ease access fir those flying in, or coming over from the base or other businesses on the airfield. Definitely recommend.
