Social Profile:

The bb.q in our name stands for Best of the Best Quality, and that’s exactly what you can expect from every one of our restaurants. Our Korean fried chicken is crispier, juicier, and more tender than anything you’ve tasted before, and our sauces provide an eclectic mix of flavor. Every dish is the result of both longstanding Korean tradition and modern research and development from our very own Chicken University. It’s a tremendous amount of work, but it’s all worth it when you take that first bite.

I am not one for writing reviews, however, Korean Fried Chicken (kFC) was the best fried chicken I have ever eaten, the taste compelled me to express my joy & excitement.
My friend & her mother was in New Tampa for a Doctor’s appt, stopped by Home Depo, then decided to shop in Lotte Plaza Market. There they spotted KFC & decided to try it. They came back telling me how the chicken had them licking their fingers. I just had to make my way there & try it. I am so glad I did. I will be making the drive often just to buy the chicken & enjoy the Market’s atmosphere. It truly earned the highest rating. Try it, you will definitely love it. I guarantee it.

It’s inside an Asian grocery store for court. They make it fresh so it’s good to order before shopping then they give you a buzzer and it goes off when ready. It was both very saucy and crunchy but still juicy chicken!

Very dry. Full of batter and less chicken. Overload of the cheese makes it super dry.
Recommend ordering ahead of time. It takes time for them to prepare.

This was the first time that i was able to let my wife taste their wings; I’ve been several times when I am working in Everett. Tried three flavors and they were all very delicious. The skin is crispy. The wings are large and tender. They have never failed to deliver a very good product.

We’ve eaten at several bb.q locations in Florida and Georgia. The place got it all wrong. The wings is heavily battered. Too much for the cheesling wings. Not consistent in how they batter and bread the wings.

It was so nice to finally try the KFC at bb.q Chicken! This location is conveniently located at the food court in Lotte Plaza Market. You can shop and wait for them to page you when the chicken is done, or you can hang out at the food court. I must have hit it at a good time. It was around 2:00pm on a weekday. There was no line at the counter. My order was taken, and I was given a 30 minute wait time. I browsed through Tous Les Jours looking for milk rolls to go along with the chicken. I could have ordered coffee while I was waiting, but decided against it. There was plenty of available seating in the back of the food court. I didn’t wait too terribly long (maybe 20 minutes). Before I knew it, the pager started buzzing and it was time to pick up my order.

What was great is that the chicken stayed at a nice warm temperature while traveling back to Brandon. The packaging holds the heat well. I didn’t need to warm it up. It was 2 small orders of Original Spicy & Secret Sauce. They were both very tasty. The Secret Sauce was more on the sweet & garlic side than pepper. It was sticky and saucy. It had a slight kick of heat. The Original Spicy was my favorite of the 2. It had a kick and a slap of heat. I’d say it was more like a medium spice level. They were both enjoyable. I think the hottest one is probably Wings of Fire. We’ll have to try that one, and maybe even the Hot Spicy sauce next time. The chicken wings heated up well the next day. It was still crispy even after heating up in the oven. The wings are a very good size. I’ll definitely make a special trip to pick up more wings in the future. Especially since Lotte is located close to I-75. It’s an easy drive at off-peak traffic times. Just plan on waiting at least 30 minutes. You’ll be rewarded with freshly made to order chicken in the end.

We ordered 8 piece Secret Sauce at bb.q Chicken this afternoon. The 1st batch we received was not good because the chicken were not cooked properly. There was still blood. I took it back and the nice lady took it back and told me they will be correcting the issue. The 2nd batch was supposedly cooked well, we ate at the dinning area and took 2 pieces back home. Tonight, I warmed it up and bam, another bloody chicken. I would like to give this store constructive criticism because I want to see Lotte and the restaurants in it to become successful.

BB.Q Chicken at Lotte Plaza please allow the chicken to thaw out properly. Do not cook it fast. If the chicken is frozen and not thawed out correctly you will get this result, an uncooked, rare, and bloody chicken. Maybe, 3rd time will be the charm. I may or may not come back to eat there again. With this experience, it’s up to you if you want to eat there.

Overall, the restaurants and food choices in Lotte Plaza are a little expensive in my opinion. The average menu for a meal is $17.00 and up. I get we have inflation, but be reasonable. You order your meals from their TV Kiosk and at the end it will ask you for tips. Yes, tips. Customers order their meal themself, customers pick up their order, and when they are done eating customers bring their trays to the shelves for the dishwashing crew. Get rid of the tips options, please.

Carts in the small dinning area are constantly an issue. Although there is a sign “No Carts” a lot of people miss that sign. Fix this please. The area is already cramped without carts. There are not that many people there today. I was surprised.

Honey garlic and Gang-Jeong were great. Boneless tasted better and felt more bang for buck. Gang-jeong sweet and tangy. 30 min wait but nice to browse around store in meantime. Price for small was 13.99 for 8 pieces boneless, pretty reasonable and each chicken piece was decently sized
