The food has always been consistently good. Over the years we have tried a lot of the menu and keep changing it up, which is part of what keeps us coming back. My wife loves the filet mignon and orders it often. I like to rotate and try different things, and everything has been solid. Recently we had the chicken tacos and they were excellent. The French onion soup is another standout and one we come back to again and again.
We used to love their fries with the olive dip ranch and still miss that, but even without it, there is always something on the menu that hits the spot. The menu updates over time, but the quality and care behind the food never seems to change.
It is also just a really cool concept. Having a full restaurant inside a retail store is not something you see often, and Nordstrom does it right. It feels relaxed, welcoming, and like a place you can actually slow down for a bit.
We have made a lot of memories here over the years and will definitely keep coming back. Highly recommend if you are looking for a great meal in a unique setting.
Because we came right around Happy Hour (2:30-5:00) we ordered the Heirloom Tomato/Buratta and the Nordstrom Burger. We also ordered the Penne Bolognese and Meatball, and the chef’s special (I forgot the name of the dish), as well as the Bread Pudding for dessert.
Everything we ordered was delicious and I have no complaints. One dish that my family and I tried for the first time and that we look forward to ordering again is the Heirloom Tomato/Buratta. The ingredients are all fresh and we loved the grilled sourdough croutons.
If you are craving dessert, the Bread Pudding is a must! The texture is so satisfying and the white chocolate sauce with raspberry is decadent! I’m not the biggest fan of sweets/dessert but this one always has me in a chokehold.
Overall, the food here is consistently delicious, the service is always solid, and the atmosphere is lovely. Can’t wait to come back!
My fiancé made reservations at Bazille inside Nordstrom yes, inside the store on the 2nd floor, which totally threw us off at first! But wow it’s a surprisingly spacious, beautiful restaurant with on-point service from start to finish.
Let’s get into it nothing but AMAZING things to say about this place. The service was absolutely phenomenal, and every single staff member was warm, welcoming, and attentive.
The bartender was fantastic and definitely knew how to make a solid drink!
We started with a couple appetizers: Crispy Calamari and Parmesan Garlic Ciabatta both were to die for.
The calamari came with a jalapeño basil aioli (OMG). We loved it so much we ordered extra to have with our entrées. Perfectly cooked, light, and crispy.
The ciabatta was packed with flavor ricotta, honey, extra virgin olive oil, and thyme butter absolutely incredible.
For our mains, we both ordered the Chef’s Featured Steak:
• 7oz skirt steak
• Fingerling potatoes
My fiancé swapped the asparagus for kung pao Brussels sprouts and WOW. He devoured the entire plate, not a single bite left. Everything was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor.
I substituted the asparagus for a Caesar salad, and same story not a crumb left on my plate. “Perfectly cooked” still doesn’t fully do it justice.
Overall, nothing but great things to say about this restaurant. From the food to the service to the unexpected-but-awesome location this place truly impressed us. We’ll absolutely be back!
What disappointed me right away was the tableware: the plates were brought out dirty, heavily worn, chipped, and scratched. Such dishes should not be in use in a place like this.
Now to the positive side. I was very pleased with the pizza — it was genuinely delicious. The French fries were a bit too oily, and they were served with an unusual purple sauce that seemed to contain olives. I had to additionally ask for regular ketchup, which is typically the standard sauce for fries.
The soup was interesting and beautifully presented — that was a pleasant surprise.
I would recommend the restaurant make a few improvements: update the tableware, enhance the overall presentation, and perhaps add some festive offers, lunch sets, bundles, or special deals, as well as cocktails. With these changes, it would be even more enjoyable and delightful to return to this place in the mall.
Over the years, the menu has only gotten better. You can tell real thought and care has gone into refining it. The French onion soup is a must for us and something we order almost every time. The salads are consistently fresh, flavorful, and well balanced. The fries are excellent. Crispy, hot, and clearly made with care. The mains are just as strong. The steak is always cooked well and tastes great, and everything feels fresh and thoughtfully prepared.
This is a place my wife and I love going to together. We have brought our kids here. We have brought friends here. It has become one of those reliable spots that feels special without being pretentious. The consistency is what really stands out. We have never had a bad experience, and the quality never feels like it is cutting corners just because of the location.
It is genuinely impressive to have a restaurant of this caliber inside a clothing store. Nordstrom has done something special here, and Bazille deserves recognition for how far it has come and how good it continues to be. We will keep coming back, and we always recommend it to anyone who has never tried it.
I have been wanting to try this spot for a long time however it was always bad timing. Really grateful to try their food and report that it was a 4.5 to 5 star experience. Really pleased with the staff, pretty professional allows you to enjoy your meal, Not to in your face, but also does check on you.
I would come back and try everything else on the menu, considering all of the appetizers, drinks, and two types of their salads were delicious.
I wish portions were a tiny bit bigger, but I understand that most of the food is also probably sourced pretty well and is more expensive
Service is hit or miss, but the waiters themselves are very nice and thorough when you do interact with them.
The restaurant is fairly clean overall, but there’s definitely room for improvement when it comes to consistently wiping down tables and seating areas.
The reason why I took one star away was because of the deterioration in service of its front desk. We were there a couple of days ago. The way we were greeted at the front desk was unacceptable! It was a younger guy who had an I-really-do-not-want-to-do-this attitude. He was talking to us while his head was turned the other way, and he started saying something to a coworker while we were still responding to him. Then, his coworker came closer and said something to him, and they started talking to each other, completely ignoring the fact that we were standing there. Ugh…so rude!
Luckily our food was good and our server at the table was wonderful!
Excellent food – have tried almost all the items on the menu – and never have been disappointed!
Service was great and will return. Apologies, no photos today as finished the yummy Chicken Tacos before I knew it!
PS. Make sure to order the crostini’s – did get a photo today- on the side. Very tasty and can take them home!
