This is a nice spot for us to use a Nordstrom gift card if you’re not planning to do clothes or snack shopping. The food is good although nothing exceptional. There were definitely a few dishes that were better than others. The dessert are definitely a highlight. Vanilla creme brulee with real vanilla beans. Lemon ricotta cookies was great. Enjoyed the calamari and brussel sprouts. The parmesan ciabatta ricotta is relatively small portions but not very expensive. Fires were a bit cold. The ginger sesame salad was good though but the salmon was not good.

Let me tell you after a nice refreshing meal you could go back and shop shop shop
Look for my personal shopper DUOC and she’ll take excellent care of you in the designer shoe department or anywhere in the store
She is a true golden treasure at Nordstrom’s
So is there a wonderful Store Manager ‘ Hossey that everybody adores and I know why
they don’t get any nicer than her!
Let me also mention the magnificent manager in the restaurant

Bazille is tucked inside Nordstrom, is a pretty solid spot. It’s convenient if you’re already shopping and need a bite. The food is generally tasty – I had the salmon salad and it was good. The service was friendly and the vibe is relaxed, nothing too fancy. It’s a decent option for a casual lunch or a break from browsing.

I ordered a wonderful chicken sandwich and the fries were a little soggy.
I asked for them crispier and the waiter brought me a whole new order.

Bazille never disappoints. This one here next to Stanford is a nice little getaway when you are needing to stay near or at the hospital. The food is great and has great service too. The after dinner chocolates are divine.

This might sound weird, but I think the Peninsula’s best burger is at Nordstrom.
They cook it to order and the patty is thick and juicy. The lettuce seems to be delicate bib lettuce and the tomatoes are always great. The cheese is super melty (I think they melt it in the pizza oven) and tastes like havarti. The bun is a light brioche style that’s both soft and tasty. And the garlic aioli is just the right amount of creamy. The fries are good but it’s the olive dip they come with that really shines. It sounds kind of funny, right? Creamy olive dip? It’s super savory and umami and somehow cheesy all at the same time. Perfect with the crispy fresh fries.
The other food I’ve had there is decent but not super special. The service has ranged from very good to ok. And the ambiance kind of feels like a darker Panera. But if you want an excellent, dressed up burger with memorable fries, this is your place! And absolutely stop here if you’ve been shopping too long and need a bite; it’s secluded and away from the hubbub of the rest of the store so you can regroup.
