Ever since the recent new ownership at Baystate cafe, I have had nothing but great consistent food. Falafel, hummus, Shawarma, kabobs, all spot on. Great for families, plenty of space, and very welcoming atmosphere. Definitely try their wide variety crape station , and don’t forget to visit the attached market for some fresh, made in house pita bread, and must have staples for your panty.

I don’t believe in coincidences but on this day It is certain I landed in this restaurant for a reason. I don’t know much about Lebanese cuisine but my daughter likes it very much, and it was her birthday. I can tell you the place was pleasant and cleaned, and yeah, I love the Mediterranean floor mosaic, they are so beautiful. The food was more delicious than expected. The seasoning was evenly strong, not too much or too little. Yeah, no garlic for me, but the flavor was still exquisite. The waiter was also very nice and joyful, and gave us free dessert!. It was all together a delightful experience that I highly recommend anyone to have wether is a first time eating Lebanese food or not.

Absolutely loved our visit! The food was incredibly fresh—every dish tasted like it was made with care and top-quality ingredients. The service was just as impressive: warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable for the quality—great value without breaking the bank. This is my first time trying Shawarma and honestly this is a great dish. I got the three combo kebab and it had so many sides going in the plate. The beef kebab was a bit tough to chew, and both the chicken and beef could’ve been better seasoned perhaps. I did like how soft and tender the krafts was. The turnover spinach feta cheese surprisingly was potent. There is a strong feta cheese sour flavor with the dough combine but it was good. Just not my personal favorite tasting.

I have fried multiple Shawarma places in the Worcester and Shrewsbury. This is one of the best places to have in this region. The chicken shawarma is well marinated mild Arabic spices, pickles , hummus , garlic sauce & sliced tomatoes, it’s wrapped in medium sized toasted flat bread. It was medium loaded with chicken.

Beef shawarma was bit dry and lemon flavor was a bit high.

Ambience is pretty nice. They have old Resturant vibe and they have a small little Arabic shop below it, you can get some imported mango and guava drinks. They also have some Arabic sweets, which are in boxes.
Street marketing is difficult, but opposite there is a parking lot for two dollars an hour.

This is the second time I have this place a go on DoorDash. The first time my chicken shawarma plate arrived cold, hard rice, and bland. Today I got the chicken araby shawarma and it came with no toppings other than the garlic paste… basically wasn’t described correctly on their menu. The chicken was again hard, dry, and this time pink (it didn’t have pickled turnips on it to make it pink). Growing up Arab and eating Shawarma this is embarrassing. Haven’t even tried the spinach pie yet.

I love everything about Bay State Bakery. The food is always amazing. I got a chicken Shawarma plate. Three words De. Li. Cious. Everyone is always friendly and hospitable. I even bought a separate side of house made hummus and peta bread to snack on later!!

Yummy place for some shawarma! The only thing is was my naan bread was stale. We got some other bread that wasn’t stale, but mine was like leather. Other than that, the hummus was good and I really liked my chicken shawarma. And for some reason the salad with the rice and chicken was so good! I really enjoyed it. The babaganush was a bit too Smokey for me but everyone else liked it. Also the olive leaves were interesting and fun to eat. The other sauce that also came with the shawarma chicken dinner plate was very garlicky. I would come here again, it was tasty! There is also a mini grocery store in the back too so make sure to check that out!
